I picked up a CMP that was missing all its drive sleds. Since I was going to install a 2.5 SSD anyway, the OWC Mount Pro 2.5 was the way to go. The sled works perfectly- if it wasnt anodized OWC blue youd think it was an OEM Apple part. Very satisfied with my purchase. I only bought one, but Im thinking of adding another SSD so Ill probably grab another...

Planning to go to higher capacity, lower performing SSDs in my 2009 Mac Pro. These are perfect for the job!

Excellent replacement sled. Well worth the price to ensure you dont mess up the backplane when upgrading to an ssd. Its made of decent quality metal, and fits the original slots well. Normally I find OWC products too expensive for what I am doing, despite their stellar reputation. But as of this writing there isnt much else out there for sled replacements, especially ones that dont require an adapter, and the asking price is definitely reasonable.

Works perfectly. Just what I needed! Oh Lord, the price, though. It seems pretty steep for a tiny aluminum frame.

I like these drive sleds but they are overly expensive for what you are getting. I wish they were half the price I paid as I have found cheaper options.

I installed my SSD into my Mac Pro desktop in seconds (literally only took seconds) and it fit perfectly and gave new life to my 2009 machine. Its rip roaring FAST! Im amazed. Thank you for this marvelous product. THANK YOU!!!

As is always the case with stuff from OWC, it just worked, easily, and as expected. Thanks!

It’s a great product. It does exactly what it is advertised to do.

Just what I needed to add a SSD to my aging Mac Pro 4,1. Just use the four included screws to attach a 2.5 SATA drive and slide it into one of the Mac Pros drive bays. Blue color lets you know which bays have SSDs at a glance.

The sled works perfectly and the color helps identify it from other drives.

OWC Mount Pro 2.5" Drive Sled for 2009-2012 Apple Mac Pro

Add any 2.5" Hard Drive or SSD to your Apple Mac Pro!

While designed with the OWC Mercury brand SSDs in mind, the OWC Mount Pro 2.5 is the easiest way to add ANY 2.5" Hard Disk Drive or Solid State Drive to your Apple Mac Pro (2009-2012 "Nehalem" & "Westmere" models).

The powder-coated aluminum and open design assists in heat dissipation while the blue color not only looks sharp, but allows you to tell at a glance which bays contain 2.5" form factor drives.

Installation is a breeze. Simply attach your 2.5" drive to the bracket using the four included hard drive mounting screws and swap with an existing 3.5" drive tray. The OWC Mount Pro 2.5 perfectly aligns the SATA connection from your 2.5" drive into the back plane SATA ports on the Mac Pro.

Note: Not for use with Mac Pro models released in 2006, 2007, or 2008
