    No soaking required like so many other filters. I am so use to having to rinse out charcoal dust for the filters I have used in the past that I automatically dropped the new one in a glass of water. There was absolutely zero sediment.

    Have a Kerick which we use at least once a day or more. Cost of water filter became expensive if charged as recommended. These are just as good fit perfectly and considerably lower cost
