Worked wonderful! I needed one to put in my boy’s room to keep an eye on my 4 year old. I can check on them any time and talk to them/him when every I need to. It was super easy to set up as well!

Full disclosure: *I’ve never owned a baby monitor before so have nothing to compare this to; I totally love this thing but don’t know if it’s any better or worse than the average one! *We don’t use it for a baby So… that said, this does everything it claims in the listing and the least tech savvy among us can have it set up and working within minutes. (Not counting the recommended 8 hr charging time at first use). My mom recently took in 2 young stray cats and as they slowly assimilate into the house/meet her other cat, they primarily stay in our spare bedroom. Probem is, she is a nervous Nelly and wants to check on them so often that she inevitably wakes them up and then they want out to reek havoc. Let sleeping cats lie, you know? So this has been absolutely ideal to solve her anxiousness about what they’re up to. We initially had it on a small table but then mom decided she wanted a higher vantage point; we opted to install it onto a decorative piece she already had leaning up again the wall. The range is fantastic, we can see every cat hiding place and sneaky angle in the room. The settings are all intuitive, easy, fuss free. The camera needs a wall outlet, but fear not — the cord is VERY long. The picture quality isn’t mind-blowing but is still more clear than I’d expect at this price point. Toggling the camera is a little slow, there’s a bit of a lag, but whether bright and sunny or dark, I love that my mom can see what’s going on 24/7. She turns this thing on about 3x an hour, so its getting a workout. We turned off the motion sensor alert and some of the other features we simply didn’t need because: they’re cats. The microphone feature is great tho, should you want to speak to your ‘baby’, the volume is quite loud, we turned ours down to low and problem solved. The main reason I went ahead and requested this Vine item is that it didn’t need an app or ask to invasively use our network. I am one of those that resents having to give permissions to apps that do the silliest things… so while many folks will shrug that off as no biggie, if you too appreciate privacy, I highly recommend this. The monitors battery life is pretty good tho it does take quite awhile to charge and there is no alert or light up feature that tells you it has completed charging. This is my one complaint and my one complaint only. The monitor is said to work within as far as 1500 feet but short of me walking down the alley to see, I’m too lazy to check that out. Easy five stars. This has been a strangely helpful addition to our infant-free household.

I love that you don’t need any wifi to use this camera! It has motion detection and also a microphone so you can speak into it and calm your baby. It has lullabies to soothe your baby as well. It is honestly such an amazing camera with great quality

This was a perfect gift for my friends expecting daughter! I had to test out the picture and range so its not set up permanently. However, the unit worked just as stated, no surprise from a Panasonic product. I would recommend purchasing the warrantee though. I have read that there were problems occasionally with it shutting down after a year of use. Some types of walls may prevent this unit from the complete 1500 foot range. AND it does not record if you are looking for a more advanced model, this is not it. Its simple and easy to use.

Love and easy to set up

All of the problems that I’ve had with baby monitors are not existent in this unit. The connection is strong and reliable. The picture is vibrant and clear. And the battery lasts a very long time. It also has a variety of features that can alert you. As far as I’m concerned this item lives up to every single promise that it’s marketing mix. The build quality and fit and finish are excellent. And it’s the first one that I’ve tried where I don’t lose signal anywhere in my house and well out into the yard. So if you’re looking for a baby monitor you have found it here. I suppose it could also be used for pets small children or whatever you want to keep an eye on. I’m generally impressed with Panasonic products and this one is no different.

I am geeking out over how cool this is! I love how easy it was to set up. The range of 1500 feet for the color monitor is fantastic! It has the ability to talk through it to help keep your child calm while going to their room. Also the motion detection is superb! Also the fact it is on a secure network makes me feel great!

When we have our baby Nephew over with family, we do have one particular fancy baby monitor setup in an additional guest bedroom. But we also set one up at my Mother in Laws home on our land. And this turned out to be a nice surprise. Because it offers many of the same great features that we had with a model from another well-known brand, but thats priced about twice as much. So its nice that someone can get an effective monitor if theyre on a budget. Also, its Panasonic.Everyone knows the brand. Everyone trusts that brand, when it comes to electronics. Been that way since Ive been a kid. So at least I know that were getting something safe and reliable. You can find an off-brand type baby monitor for less. But when it comes to our Little Ones, you cant put a price on peace of mind. So its probably the best investment youll make for your child, grandchild or other relative all year. Would also make a terrific baby shower gift. Especially because every time Mom looks at her LO on the monitor, shell remember who it was that gave her such a thoughtful gift.
