Paperless [Old Version]

I had high hopes for this product because Ibe been in need of a digital document organizer, and Ive really liked some of Mariner Softwares other products. That said, this particular product isnt worth the time or money.

Being a complete and disorganised numpty I bought this software to track my wifes receipts for her business.

Allows you to directly scan documents into a searchable PDF database on your Mac. Ive been using it for several months and it works rather seamlessly, especially if you have a Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner, which is really the best sheet fed scanner for the Mac hands down. Paperless allows you to have multiple databases for different types of items like receipts or documents. You can also create a PDF directly from a web page into Paperless, although this works best if Paperless is already open, I have found. Definitely two thumbs up from my experience.

I bought this application in December for $40+ and 3 months later they came out with a paid upgrade for another $40+. I tried to reach support, there is no phone support for this product and when I finally was able to get someone to return me email they said I should get on chat and they would fix it. I tried everything to get on chat and finally I realized that they had taken down the Chat support tool down as well. When I first received the software it worked OK, but when I upgraded my scanner and paplerless app, it all went bad fast and there was no support to help fix it. Buy at your own risk.

Avoid this software. It is incredibly buggy and just doesnt work. The support department is awful, takes forever and will try to blame their issues on anything they can! Save your money!

Paperless (formerly Receipt Wallet) is to the Mac what Visioneer/Nuance Paperport was to the PC. I use Paperless with a Fujitsu ScanSnap for Mac. The integration is perfect. Paperless detects the ScanSnap easily. You can Paperless as one of ScanSnaps file destination. Apparently you must buy this directly from the Mariner Software site.
