Easy to install and holds my 65 lb e-bike so easily. Strong grip and easy to clamp with one hand on the bike and one hand on the handle. To install, I needed 4 lag bolts (not included, but I have a bunch lying around). I am so glad I invested in this.

If you use this vise to clamp on to the seat tube beware because if the frame moves down (vise moves toward the top tube) while in use you will not be able to loosen the cam handle as the cam handle will hit the top tube. The clamp jaws should be longer to maintain clearance for cam handle rotation.

This thing is awesome. Hold bikes in any direction, won’t let go. Don’t skip on the good stuff, Park Tool is the best for a reason….

I upgraded to this one after purchasing the cheapest one I could find on this site. It lasted a year or so but broke with pretty light use. This is built to last. I mounted it to my workbench and have plenty of clearance. I did a fork tune up and it held the bike at a 60 degree angle with no problem. I was a little worried about the clearance issues, but I have about 2 between my pedal and the edge of my workbench. Really happy I upgraded. Wish I would have just bought this one to begin with.

You get what you pay for. Reviews of other bicycle repair stands seemed to harp on issues of durability and especially plastic parts. I have a heavy E-bike and didnt want to buy a tool twice. My (mountain biking) daughter recognized the Park Tool logo on the delivered packaging and got excited-with reason. The expectation of a really solid piece of equipment has been met. To be sure there is plastic in the jaw clamp, only to cushion the hold on the bike frame, and handles, and even the rotation locking piece, but that gets compressed into place like an oversized cone-shaped washer, and shouldnt face any stress that would break it, even holding up a 48# bike. The steel parts are industrial quality-absolutely no play or bend. Frankly, I was more worried about my workbench than the repair stand. Very EZ/intuitive to set up-really no instructions necessary. It does need to be mounted where the pedals get free play underneath.

It is well built. I mounted it to a 3x6 board that allows me to hold the stand in my heavy duty vise.

This is a well made piece of equipment; it is adaptable to different positions depending on one’s space constraints and should work superbly in all scenarios. One could attach this repair stand to a bench or on top of a free-standing base, should one want to devise one, or conceivably in other ways. My bike shop recommended this brand to me and I’m very pleased to have it, in my case easily attaching to my garage work bench.
