Sometimes that slow leak is a loose valve and not a hole in the tube. One way to find out is use this tools to tighten the valve. Loose valve tightened? Problem solved!

Easily removes a valve stem. Unfortunately, doesnt remove the valve extender itself so only serves 1/2/ of its purpose.

I bought this tool as an addition to my on-bike tool kit. Light, convenient, and at a reasonable price. You could buy a more expensive one but it wouldnt give you any more value.

Im currently using the Bontrager TLR system which uses a presta valve with a removable core. Using this tool, I had absolutely no problems removing the core. It was a simple matter of slipping the tool over the valve and twisting. The actual twisting took very little effort. I even removed and re-installed the core a couple of more times just to be sure. Still there were no problems. I was convinced of its usefulness, but I decided to err on the side of caution and mulled over any worst case scenarios that might arise. I considered the possibility of damaging the valve from having the tool angled improperly, or from applying the wrong amount of pressure. I carefully inspected not only the removable core, but also the inside of the tool for any sign of damage. There didnt seem to be any damage. It seemed that it would be difficult to cause any deformation or warping of the core by using this tool even in a haphazard fashion. But I do not recommend using it haphazardly, as a person can never be too careful. Before I ordered the tool from amazon, I was presented with different choices being offered by different manufacturers. The most obvious other choice is the Stans tool. You might notice that the Stans version has more positive feedback. Also, the Stans tool is slightly lower-priced. But this tool made by Park has a hexagonal shape that distinguished it from the Stans tool. Its shape gave it the appearance of being easier to grip. At the time, I wasnt aware of how much force was needed to remove the valve core, so the ability to grip the tool seemed like an important factor when making comparisons. Once I put the tool to use, I realized that I could just as easily have removed the valve core with a tool that has a cylindrical shape like the Stans tool. Despite this, the hexagonal shape did have the advantage of making the tool much less likely to roll around on the ground or off of a work bench. So, in addition to the tools perfect functionality, the hexagonal shape is what made the Park Tool version the winner over the Stans version. So, this tool has enabled quick removal of the value core for use with the Bontrager Flash Charger pump. Theres a video on Utube that recommends pouring the sealant through the valve after the core has been removed. But from my experiences that was a terrible idea. Eventually the sealant clogs up the valve and makes it incapable of holding an airtight seal no matter how tight the core is screwed into place. So, pouring the sealant into the wheel through an unseated portion of the tire is the optimal method. And, again, forcing enough air into the tire quickly enough to inflate a tubeless set-up requires removing the valve core, which this tool accomplishes flawlessly.

I used this to remove the valve cores in my tubeless MTB tires so I could add some more sealant.

Did not fit into the tube to remove the core.
