> 3 dayI bought this to replace an old umbrella that was falling apart. This one is a little smaller than the one I was replacing, but ao far it seems to be a good umbrella. Time will tell, and I can update my review if it isnt up to snuff..

Greater than one weekFirst impressions when I first opened the packaging was this is going to be a good purchase. And it is, well, sort of. Basically two issues make this an just okay purchase. And for an umbrella, how can you screw one up? Well, the first thing is a trigger activates a very strong spring loaded piston or something and when it opens after you press that trigger, and it does take a bit of force to press that trigger, the umbrella fires open like its been shot out of a cannon. Anybody in its way is going to take a hit. So you want to be careful you dont point this at something or someone when opening it. Maybe it calms down after a few uses, I should hope so. The second issue is closing the umbrella. Its hard to do. That same spring makes it difficult enough you have no choice but to follow the instructions and this is where whomever designed this umbrella using such a strong spring is nuts. The instructions say to close the umbrella to first press the button trigger, the same one that opens the umbrella. Then grab the top ring of the umbrella, and no not the inside ring, but the outer one or atthe very top of the umbrella. And then you press the umbrella down till you hear a click and the umbrella will stay closed. Well, guess what? Most of us use the umbrella when its been raining. And to that end the top of the umbrella is wet of course. So closing the umbrella means using your whole arm to force the umbrella back into its closed position which leaves your arm wet. Its just plain stupid that you cant use the inside ring to pull the umbrella closed to lock it back in the closed position. If it wasnt for the last issue Id give the umbrella a good four or five stars. BTW, when the umbrella is opened its very taut and easily pulls and tugs if the wind is blowing; something else you want to watch out for when using this umbrella. Like I said, its an okay purchase but Id shoot for something better.

Greater than one weekWith this umbrella you press the button to open and press the button to collapse the ribs and then press down on the top of the umbrella with the palm of your hand while holding the handle with your other hand. Press together until you hear a click. The fabric holds around the umbrella easily and the strap has plenty of length to wrap around to secure the fabric. The cover goes on well by twisting. This is a very nice umbrella with wind flaps to help keep it from turning inside out when it is windy. The fabric is on the thicker side and the umbrella is constructed well. The handle is comfortable to hold and has a wrist strap for easy carry when not in use.

> 3 dayI thought these umbrellas were so cute and ironic. I was going to keep 1 and give the other 1 to my sister. That wouldve been great. Only when the box got here. There was only 1 in the box. And no paperwork. I sent it back on the 9th. And I still havent received my refund.

> 3 dayThis is an amazingly sturdy, well made umbrella and it’s definitely large enough to keep 2 adults dry—it’s 42” wide when opened. I’m glad I glanced at the Safety Warning before I opened it. It correctly states that the umbrella is spring loaded and opens very quickly AND (probably most importantly), you should allow at least 3 feet of space in front and on both sides of you. Honestly, you could nearly knock a small person off their feet if you hit them with it. It has a button to assist in closing the umbrella too. That helps to collapse the canopy of the umbrella, but getting the umbrella back to its original size does take some upper body strength. I found that it’s easier if you put the tip of the umbrella on the ground, then gently push down until it clicks into place. Of course the umbrella has a nice little pouch. It’s not super compact and it’s not super light, but it IS an excellent umbrella, especially since it’s designed to withstand heavy rain and wind. Overall, an excellent umbrella.

> 3 dayThe umbrella works as expected. It’s larger than I thought it would be, but that’s good for me. I haven’t had the chance to test it against the wind but it works well in heavy rain.
