I have always purchased my blades new from Sally’s Beauty. They have not been in stock for quite sometime & I was in desperate need of these razor blades. I have been shaving my face for years with straight razors. I know what the razors are supposed to feel like when they are brand new. When brand new they are very very sharp. So sharp you are cautious because they will bite. The first blade out the box installed, & the first stroke on my face I wondered if the razor was new. The razor felt broke-in. The sharpness felt similar to a blade that had been used at least 3 times. I was a little devastated. Here is the thing. When a razor is brand new you do not have to stretch the skin much going against the grain because that is how sharp a brand new blade is. I stretched my skin firmly with the first blade applying a decent amount of pressure to the blade (going against the grain on my face) to grab the stubbles. Yesterday (9/19/2020) after a couple of shaves with the first blade I tossed it. I shaved with another (2nd blade) out the box. Same results. Truth be told. I am vert skeptical. I hope these razors are not re-packaged (used) razors. I hope the seller would not do something like that during a pandemic. I have 8 razors left & will cross my fingers the remaining are better.

I bought these from Sally’s and they are horrible. I can use a brand new blade and I can barely get through one use. I have thick hair but I’ve never had this issue with blades before. First and last time I’ll ever use them. Can’t tell the difference between a new one and one I’ve used. No difference.
