I didnt want to spend money on just to cover the bird cage so we were using bed sheets(sometimes doubled it to keep him warm) for a while but I guess the morning light went through the sheets easily so our Green Cheeked Conue was waking up before us and telling us to uncover(ringing the bells and stuff) he holds the poop all night so we felt like we had to run to let him out and poop but after I bought this cover(since its supposed to be blackout) Matcha(our bird) is dead quiet forever until we uncover so we can relax longer making coffee and do other stuff first. Even after all that when we uncover, Matcha looks at us like, wwwhaattt? its still a night time... what are you doing?.. so it does work and its good for him to sleep well..Im glad we bought it!

this is one of those covers that leave the bottom half uncovered so the bird just goes to the bottom of the cage and yells instead of going to bed. and yes I ordered the right size. probably would buy again
