I have a Canon TR7020a and I got these because they were 1/2 the price of the brand name ones and money is tight!

The install was easy, like any other printer cartridge. My NOT UPDATED printer recognized them with no problems. I dont update my printers anymore because, often, they are updates to block third party ink cartridges and that is it. Not gonna have THAT. I own the printer and Ill put what ink I want in it. Im not going to be held hostage. Your mileage may vary according to update status.
