23-11-2024The bushing on my Shop-Vac was making the high-pitch squeal (and weird groaning whine on shutdown) that many others have reported. When researching, I discovered that others had success replacing the bushing with this bearing, so I figured it was worth a try. Why get a brand new vacuum when a pack of these bearings was so cheap? It works... trickiest part was removing the old bushing (watch some videos online on how to do that). This new bearing fit into the same space and wasnt too tight on the shaft at all. Fit just fine. Now I can use the Shop-Vac without the weird noise and grinding, and honestly it feels like I have a brand new vacuum. Very cool. Plus a bunch of spare bearings for... whatever? Maybe theyll fit in some other things with motors... never can tell.

> 3 daySeems to work as it should, but had a very greasy feel to them from the lubricant put on to them prior to sealing it in a plastic tube. Fast delivery.

> 3 dayDont laugh but I used a 3D printed support along with those bearings to stop a noisy hamster wheel. Made wonders, we don’t hear the hamster anymore which provides us better sleeping time.

> 3 dayNo country of origin marks No makers or model marks on the bearing (there is one in the picture though), only on the seals Seals are already dried out and hard right out of the tube These are yet another mystery bearing. At least theyre cheap. Im going to put them in a 20,000 RPM motor, and Ill update this when they die.
