> 3 dayOur large (22lb) cat loves it! It will last a good 18 months before it becomes ragged. When the insert gets too ragged, we remove it and let him sleep inside the ring. It is the perfect place for him to curl up in. At that time we purchase another one to let him scratch on.

I also ordered her a scratching mat she loves to lay on, haven’t seen her scratching in it but at least she’s using it. Well worth the money, very durable and seems like the scratch pad will last a long time.
