We hung the swing from a tree so we had to purchase additional supplies to make this happen. However, to attach it to a swing, you can do that straight out of the box. The seat is wide and accommodates young and older kids. This seat seems to be a little thicker than some other swing seats that I have seen. Quality is good and hopefully it will last a long time!
