Pitstop 5.1 4-Ounce Dot Hydraulic BR Fluid

Fluid itself is fine and well packaged and worked great in bleeding my troublesome avid elixir brakes. There are many cheaper alternatives for Dot 5.1 fluid but if you want to stick with OEM this is the only option and works great in avid brakes as it should.

Like others who posted reviews here, the photo is incorrect- you only get what is described in the product title - the brake fluid. The DOT grease is not included. As for the fluid itself, it works as expected. You could probably get automotive 5.1 for a lower price, but for $10 (at time of purchase) Im okay with buying the Avid-branded stuff for my Avid CR brakes.

Its is oil it works, its expensive. nothing wrong with this product. I would recommend to all serious rider and bike-ophiles to buy automotive pints and save a load of cash.

The picture shows Avid brake fluid and DOT assembly grease. Thats what I thought I ordered. The description only lists the brake fluid - thats what I got. My fault for not reading the description more carefully, but the picture is misleading and deceptive.

works great. I use it once every year to bleed my brakes. I dont use that much fluid so this bottle has lasted me a while.

What can I say, it does its job. I have older SRAM juicy 3s.
