> 24 hourI purchased this to replace my Sony e-reader when it was time. I loved the Sony and wanted a reader I can add an SD card to for additional storage. After looking around on line, I found the Pocketbook Lux 5. This is a great e-reader with expandable storage and a light. This is the first e-reader I have had with a light and I love it. I was able to pop the SD card out of the Sony and put it in this reader and all of my books were there. Easy to load and understand. The library function is a bit different and it is taking a little bit of time to adjust. I would/will purchase another Pocketbook e-reader.

> 24 hourUpdated review. I had to send this in to have the charging port replaced, and they fixed it, at NO CHARGE. Even shipped it back to me super quick the week of Xmas. I love these devices, and the company has yet to let me down. The way I was treated in regards to needing it worked on, blew my mind. You wouldnt get treated that well with a lot of companies. So, I have decided to trade 2 of my Kindle Paperwhites in, in order to get a bigger Pocketbook reader.

> 24 hourThe device works well and syncs well with the phone app. I download books to my phone and then sync to the device. It sends them right on. It reads all kinds of formats as well. The backlight is really nice and you can adjust the color so it is more white or more warm. The auto adjust makes it way too bright for me so I just leave it on one setting and adjust it manually if I need to. The battery life is insane. It lasts forever. It will last weeks or longer if you read several hours per day. The dictionary is horrendous. This is not a real example, but you will get the idea: if you search for “definitely” it will say “root is definite” or something equally as useless. It has a lot of words, but it has some glaring gaps. The speed is fine for reading a book, but browsing around the device it is a bit slow. Fortunately you don’t need to do that a lot.

> 24 hourI actually really liked this e-reader. It had a great reflow feature for pdfs, making them much more readable. The buttons made getting to the home screen or menu very easy and the expandable storage gave more bang for my buck than I got on other e-readers. The screen was pretty and the device was light. I only returned it because it could stall or be slow at times. I actually may order again in case the device I had was defective.
