I bought one of these, then, I bought another. Yup, that nice. Im using these with the round Echo dot 4th generation. People are complaining the holder stiffles the sound. Seriously? I put 2 cork coasters in the bottom of each one....end of problem. Same thing with the 4 gen Dot with the clock. You can see the display just fine if you put a couple of 3 coasters in the bottom. These are worth every penny AND theyre packaged properly. I LUV this company and I hope they can keep the prices stable. Hard to do under the OBiden regime.

I gave it 4 stars because when I play music it sounds muffled! It’s closed in around the speakers..

First, I am not a fan of the “cannonball” look of the echo dot 4th generation. I already owned the 3rd generation “hockey puck” echo dot and didn’t mind the low profile, but when I came across a great holiday deal on the small ball echo- I couldn’t pass it up. But I needed something to hide it. All I could find was cute little stands that didn’t really fit my aesthetic, but then I came across this sculptural stand for the dot and decided to give it a shot. I love it! It’s a little bigger than I expected, but it gives it more of a statement piece feel which I like. I have read the reviews complaining of the dot being muffled, but I don’t really hear a difference. The 3rd generation “hockey puck” dot sits snugly in the top, and sits quite flush with the top of the sculpture. A slight diminished sound for that dot, but upping the volume a touch cures the issue. The small 4th generation “cannonball” also sits smoothly in the top, with no play on the sides. The sound there has no issue since it emits from the area that sits above the top of the sculpture. I can’t see the light at the base light up to indicate that it has recognized the wake word, as it sits down into the top of the sculpture. However, that’s not really an issue since I never have problems with my echo receiving commands. I am very pleased with my purchase and plan to buy another.
