> 24 hourGreat set of three disks for fast wood removal. They some in three little boxes wrapped in bubble wrap. I noticed the one review that said the hole adapters didnt come with it. The adapters are in one of the boxes there are three washers that fit in the hole to make it fit the smaller arbors of some grinders. But the washers are loose in the box so willing to bet in the one reviewers case they fell out somewhere along the line. So if the manufacturer is reading this you might consider putting the three rings into a envelope or something before putting them in one of the boxes so they arent lost. Another interesting thing i found out is... I have two grinders and the first one I tried to put these on i released the guard on that grinder is not completely open on the bottom and has a lip across the back that wouldnt allow me to put the two thicker wheels on. But I got my second grinder out and that guard is open across the full bottom so I used that one to try the thicker wheels. Not an issue with the wheels, just an observation that if your grinder guard has a cover across part of the bottom (you can see it in my second photo) then two of these wheels will not fit your grinder. The photos show some test swipes of the flat wheel and the wheel type one. they work fast and had no problems with using them. I have a big project coming up I will need these for as I am building a carved rocking horse. For the cost, these are a good value and I recommend them.

> 24 hourThese work very well, but you really need to have a firm grip on the grinder so they dont get away from you. If you hit any knots, it will disintegrate the knot with too much pressure, as well as chew into the wood around it. These work better than the chainsaw-style grinders, as well as being significantly safer to use as they dont kick back as readily. The harder the wood, the smaller the bite it takes, but it does create heat which may discolor the project at hand. These are great for very fast stock removal, and was preferred to be used on a variable speed grinder instead of an off-on model as the speed truly makes a difference on the final results.

> 24 hourI ordered this for the purpose of grinding tree stumps and they worked well. The stumps were as large as 1 foot in diameter and as small as 6.

> 24 hourSo I have a regular wood project (pictured) of hollowing out a wood seat base. It consumes an expensive hollowing disk each time and the disk has a small amount of life left for next time - but not enough for a complete next job. So I thought I would try THESE disks. The price is right. While fresh they cut as effectively as an expensive disk. The durability is less than the expensive disk. But it is enough to get the job done once. So in cost for result - these cheaper disks are better value. Though you will be throwing more away. But spending less. I was amused to discover that the (fairly extensive) instruction leaflet lead off with a description as to how to use the disks to grind a tree stump! I guess it is just a different kind of woodwork......

> 24 hourI had to add an extra washer to ensure it was properly seated, but once secured, these things are awesome. I actually used these to grind down some rough roots where I was putting in a koi pond. I couldnt get the roots cut back far enough and didnt want them damaging the pond liner or underlay, so I used these to grind them back. Even when used against roots and soil, these keep grinding away with great efficiency. Theyre extremely durable and tough, if used for only woodworking projects, they should last a very long time. These have exceeded my expectations and made my life a lot easier with the pond installation.

> 24 hourWhen using this carving discs you need to get a good strong grip because this does tend to jump. They do remove a good amount of material.

> 24 hourThese work very well on stumps. They eat through wood quite well just hold on tight. Or it will get away from you.

> 24 hourMy goal for this wood carving disc set was to turn a couple year old Bradford pear stump into a rounded bowl for a birdbath. I used these discs on my battery operated angle grinder. When in use it went through almost two batteries with not a lot to show for it. I dont have a corded angle grinder so power may be the limiting factor. However, the grinding blade got noticeably dull after my short 5-10 minutes of use. This could be because of the old age of the stump and hardness of the wood. When using the discs, be sure to keep it low or itll pull you left real hard if you apply too much pressure. In my use case, these underperformed a bit. But I will see if I can get a corded grinder to verify if power is limiting the capabilities of these discs.
