As described.i ordered this fan because A)we live in FL and are coming up on hurricane season so B) we have to expect periodic power outages with the summer storms sometimes for 10 minutes, other times up to 8 hrs overnight.this fan is perfect to keep us cool during those outages when I have to open the windows and wait for TECO to restore us. With 3 speeds,an LED light on the front and is USB rechargeable.this will definitely help keep us cooler JIC we lose power.

I bought this for use at work, as there are no outlets in my supply room, and it gets pretty hot in there at times. This is a nice little fan for the price! Puts out a decent amount of air and I like the fact that it has four settings for power. Plus the added feature of light is great for use in my garage at home. My only suggestion is to make sure you aim the remote right in front of the fan, and press hard once on power. It can be a little funky until you get used to it. Otherwise, Im very pleased.

I purchased this for camping and the river and I took it to the river on Fathers day and now it wont go over 1 speed when I try to put it on 2 or higher it just turns off but the fan is still on because it will still rotate with no air coming out. When it did work it was ok. Had to be close to really feel the air.

This thing looks rugged, but is very lightweight - but not in a bad way! It should hang well from just about anything, maybe even a tent pole, as long as its not a small backpacking tent. It seems rugged enough, as well. The light has 3 settings and is plenty bright, so it goes from a daytime fan to a nightlight rather simply, which is a perfect addition to any camp table. I was worried about the remote, seeing as how it seemed like it could get lost, but just discovered a slot on the rear of the fan to place it in! Im sure Ill still lose it somehow. The only thing Im actually worried about is the power button getting hit (theyre easily accessible from the front) while in transit and wasting battery. Also, the hook tucks away nicely, but I think after some use it wont stay stuck in where it is by the little knob.

Like another camping fan I recently tested, this fan has a light in the center, serves as a power bank for charging other devices, oscillates, and has four speeds. I tested each of the functions on both fans and compared. While there is no difference otherwise, the movement on this fan is smoother, it seems a little sturdier, and a very careful listening reveals that the fan noise is not quite as high pitched as the other, which fact I find to be easier on the ears. I also prefer the two-toned design on this model. It can be difficult comparing devices that were obviously based on the same template, but this one wins out. Im keeping it (and somebody gets the other one for Christmas). Photos show the fan in different colors of lighting. POSTSCRIPT: Just raised from four to five stars. The hot weather finally hit us--the house is well insulated and stays cool all day, but the heat in the attic gets me at night. After six months without fans or AC, I found the noise from my plug-in fans was too loud to sleep. I took this little fan and pointed it straight up near the foot of the bed. I could barely hear it, and in that position it didnt blow on me, but circulated the air evenly. It was perfect for the task at hand, and the charge lasted a good eight or nine hours (I had charged it ten days prior). I dont know if I will ever go camping again, as expensive as cat care is around here. But this fan has proven its utility in ordinary domestic circumstances.

UPDATE: Im not changing my review score, but wanted to note one minor inconvenience that Ive found as Ive continued to use this fan. I still love it, but you cannot turn it on or off without using the remote. All the other controls are conveniently available directly on the front of the fan base. I still recommend this, but am noting this as something for the manufacturer to FIX in the next version! I’m literally using this fan right now as I write this review, sitting on my screen porch in 90-degree heat, and this fan is actually doing a reasonable job of helping me keep my cool. I’ve been using this fan for a week now, and LOVE IT! One of the nicest features is the included remote control, which saves me from having to get up from my chair to adjust the fan speed or turn oscillation on. AND, there is a very neat little slot in the back of the base to hold the remote control — no more misplaced remotes! This is truly a very well-thought-out product. This fan also can serve as a light, and has a USB port to also function as a power bank. All these features are working great so far. Today, I’ve been running the fan for several hours and the charge bar is still at 100%. It’s also small enough to easily fit in a day pack to provide comfort far from home. The only minus on this fan is that it does not include a wall charger (though it does include a USB charge cable), for which I feel obligated to subtract one star. However, most people will have multiple USB chargers from other accessories in their home already and this really doesn’t present a major issue. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
