PORTER-CABLE Polishing Pad, Lambs Wool, Hook and Loop, 6-Inch (18007)

I got this for buffing both old and new paint on a car I had to repaint part of. Combined with Maguires Heavy Cut Compound it does a fantastic job of buffing. 2000 grit or finer scratches come right out to high gloss. That being said it was almost pure white rather than the definite buff color Ive seen with Porter-Cable wool pads before and it shed a huge amount of fiber on the car, especially at first. Pad is noticably thinner already and I only did one car. It did come in an authentic looking Porter-Cable box but with all the knockoffs of major brands being sold as genuine it makes me wonder a little. Im probably being unfair but Im not sure this would hold up to even semi professional use. Did the job for me though so I gave it 4 stars.

Works well. I used this pad with my friends PC. I got a great shine after the polish was removed. Not sure how it compares to other brands of pads, but so far so good.

Great quality

There is no hook and loop. The box incorrectly says hook and loop. This cannot be attached to the tool. Not something to even pull over.

This is a high quality wool pad. It does have some shedding during use. More than I expected. Still works verry well if you clean it frequently while using.
