The product seems like it can do a lot, but finding out how to use it is another challenge as there are no instructions. When you go to the website it appears as though there are tutorials; however, when you view them you find that its advice for a different program like the Mobile Version which is not the same. Amazon was able to find something that will help. I am very disappointed with the assistance from Cyberlink. Seems that they are only interested in assisting their subscription services. When you do contact them concerning issues to their website, instead of dealing with your question they send the same link that didnt work in your question. No one actually reads your requests, its just an automated response. Maybe they dont work anything but M-F, 9-5. Not exactly 24-7-365 support.

Powerful Editing and Creating Software. This software is for editing photos, videos, and a slick slideshow creator. It has numerous editing functions as well as a gallery loaded with extra content. I particularly like the full range of text fonts and how easy it is to manipulate their colors, sizes, shadows, etc. for use in either your slide program or videos. This software also provides many templates for creating a very professional look to your images. There is a learning curve and I learn a bit more every time I use this platform. In addition they provide 50GB of cloud storage in their extra’s. Its a very easy install with two CD’s. Disc 1 sets up both the Power Director and the Photo Director and Disc 2 contains all the extras. You can download the program also from the internet, just make sure you have your KEY Codes handy as you will need to enter them to solidify ownership. This is a super value compared to other editing software.

This is very fun to use and does a really nice job of editing. My concern is that some people are saying there is a renewal fee, however, it is stated that this is a one time fee. I guess time will tell. Should I get a renewal notice I will come back and adjust the review. Other than that this package has a lot of tools and it is fairly easy to use.

Im not a professional and never edit - so I will probably have to update this review. But frankly, Im lost. I have figured some out and love what I have discovered!!! I managed to download the program. The disk did not work with my laptop- but it comes with directions if that happens. It took about 5 to 6 hours to figure that out. I finally got it!!! I was able to cut my daughter and her fiance out of a picture and do a background. I love that feature. You can edit it in detail. Im thinking the features would be best with a green screen. I again, am learning. I will be taking my daughters maternity pictures- so I hope to master it by next month! I gave it 5 stars because from what Ive learned to do- it is amazing! I cant fault the product because I am technology ignorant. I hope my review is helpful. This product would be great for someone who knows what they are doing or can learn how to use the program!

Im pretty bad with learning new apps and programs. It feels sometimes like everyone else can just pick them up in an instant and suddenly use tons of advanced features, right out the gate. My husband does photoshop and that felt so daunting to me. He learned it when he had hours of wait time during a deployment, but I dont have that kind of time where Im forced to sit and wait for hours and need something to fill my time. Ive always wanted to do photo editing, but most of the software is just beyond my level. And it feels like most expect me to learn so much right away just to do something so simple. I installed this and it took forever. My computer is about 6 years old and full of junk, so that might have something to do with it. It has Windows 11 and is a 64 bit, but not a huge amount of ram. The download took no time at all. But installation? Over an hour for me. Once installed, I hopped into Power Director, read the little pop ups, and got to work. Using the helpful snip tool, as I wanted to edit some videos that I had for a slideshow, I was able to have my clips ready to go in maybe a minute each, which includes publishing and saving. I spent more time searching for clips than I did the actually editing process. All I did was snip the clips out, nothing else, then save them, and add them into my slideshow. I havent tried any of the more advanced features, because I havent needed them yet. For editing longer videos down, this thing is a breeze. Not only can I snip out just the parts that I want, I can edit the order of them as I work, add in gaps of time for transitions, or different styles of transition, and then I can publish it as a continuous stream. So no more adding in one video clip, then adding another, then adding another, and continuously hitting the spacebar in PowerPoint during presentations to get my series of clips to work. Just one smooth video with transitions that I upload into a single slide. It sounds so basic, but I searched high and low for a simple video editor that wouldnt break the bank, that would let me just cut out clips and join them together into one video, and couldnt find a thing that would work for me. This worked perfectly. My only, single complaint is that I was working with some dual audio clips. They had foreign language and English audio attached to the video. I was able to highlight the audio track and change it to English. However, it would only save in the foreign language. I didnt have time to figure it out. I dont know how to unlock the two audio tracks from each other, so I couldnt use all the clips that I made, because I needed the English tracks to make a point for my slideshow. So, today Ill be figuring all that out, hopefully, and will update with how it went. So far, this program has been easy for me to use and thats saying a lot. I think this is probably an intro program to folks interested in this kind of thing. I think that any age could use this program. Its been really helpful for my very basic needs and actually has me interested in trying some new stuff, because it doesnt seem daunting at all using this program. Very happy with this. I havent used tech support. However, when I googled a question about the program, I found 2 support forums on their website that had the answers that I needed. So thats really cool! So far, so good. Ill definitely be making more videos with this!

The desc suggests ability to make a slide show with video clips as well - well that was incorrect After spending hours trying to make this work I finally gave up and sent this back for credit

Install issues and product support was wonderful. I enjoy the program and would recommend this product to other users.
