> 24 hourAfter cursing the Band Saw for a period of time, a period longer than I wish to admit, one finally has to fess-up to a lack of knowledge thats held them back. After studying up on all that needs to be known about setting up a Band Saw and, making all of the proper adjustments, found me still hacked off with the saw. (No pun intended.) All that was left for me to determine this saw will or, will not, hold it place of prominence in this shop is, to change out the blade. The set-up of the saw is one thing. The information related to blades is another. Dont forgo the knowledge needed for either one. This morning, I popped that blade on the machine. It appeared to be cutting a bit to the left of the marked line. BUT THEN, one thing that hadnt been checked to this point, came to mind. Was my slider on the saw table, (not sure of the technical name for that), accurate when set at 90 deg. I found it to be off by about 1 deg. Bingo! A correction to the slider and, this brand new saw blade found itself sawing perfectly straight. I gave this product 4-Stars because, I have only one day of use with it.

> 24 hourBlades are a good value. They are carbon steel blades, and they are short (versus a 14 saw blade which uses a length of 93-1/2) so there are not as many teeth per blade, so each tooth cuts more than a longer blade will, so they cannot be expected to last as long as longer blades. They have decent welds, but they do not remove the weld slag the forms between the teeth, so it keeps the following tooth from doing what it is suppose to do (Years ago I welded custom band saw blades for an industrial tool distributor so one thing I know is band saw blades), but the tooth spacing is good, which shows that the blade tooth spacing is consistent at the weld. These blades will fit any 9 saw that uses a 59-1/2 blade no matter who makes the saw. Just a bit of useful information for those of you that are not aware.... Rule of thumb... the material should always have a minimum of 3 teeth in the material at any given time... so that tells you what amount of teeth the blade needs to cut through different thickness of wood (or metal, plastic, whatever) so a 6 tooth blade wold not work as well as 14 tooth in 1/4 wood. Another thing I have learned, just because Bosche, Ryobi, or other well known names put their name on a product, does not mean it is as good of quality as you might expect from the name. I have gotten better quality on no-name (meaning unknown named products) than I have on named products.

> 24 hourBlades are good quality at a descent price. The packaging was sub par. Band Saw Blades (with 1000+ teeth) should be packaged in a box NOT a bag.

> 24 hourIm happy with this blade. Cant speak to longevity yet but it sure cuts nice. I use my band saw exclusively for metal cutting.
