The pins used in the male connector, do not have rolled edges, which makes for a difficult time mating. Secondly the crimp on some pins was made to close to the barrel of the pin which results in the pin being bent at a slight angle. This also makes mating difficult. Once a connection is made they work fine.

This paired set of cable branch extentions were color coded which helped me keep track of my multiple wiring runs DC polarity. The MC4 connectors on these were a perfect fit for the connectors on the 10 foot cables I had.
