> 24 hourI have owned for about a year now and this is my first projector. It has done everything I wanted it to and works beautifully. I have used it in the basement with the lights on, the lights off, and even out doors. The brightness is impressive and sound levels from the projector are nice as well. I would purchase again if I needed another one.

> 24 hourIve been projecting for several years and the main drawback was the need to keep the lights subdued. I have owned several projectors, including two other Wimius projectors, and none has compared to this one for the brightness of the lamp. I can open my blackout curtains enough to uncover about half of the large window in my living room and control the light getting in with the mini blinds enough to see the picture while letting in enough light to read. The optics on this projector are also worthy of a more costly machine. The image is nearly as sharp as it is on a direct view TV, something I couldnt say about my old rear projection TV set which was much smaller than the 120 inch screen I have with this set up. I really doubt you are going to find a better projector without spending a lot more money.

> 24 hourwe need learn more from manual but we played around last night, its great! only thing I received returned item. there was someones hair, and finger prints at remote controller also manual book was used it before so i sanitized it. before i used it. there was not battery for controller. so had go out buy AAA. before test it. overall pictures is not clear like camera but for price, its great! since we returned two times other products for higher price with high expectations! this is much better choice than others with low cost. since i didnt buy insurance, hope it last long!

> 24 hourBefore I got the Wimius, I briefly had a Fangor 701 8500L. I was not happy with the brightness, so I ordered this one, and its much brighter. The photos are a side by side of the Fangor on the left, and the Wimius on the right. This was last October, so unless theyve updated the Fangor since then, the Wimius is remarkably brighter and clearer for the same price point. Its perfectly watchable during the day in my many-windowed room with just the blinds down. The most annoying issue: the auto selecting a source at start up does not work for me. I connect this to my 2019 Macbook Pro on HDMI 1, with a HDMI to USB C adaptor. I have the boot source set to HDMI 1, but when I turn on the projector, it shows my computer screen for an instant as expected, and then it immediately reverts back to No Signal or Weak Signal. I can tell this is a fixable software issue because it does detect it for a fraction of a second, but then goes back to not seeing it. I then have to go to the menu and manually select HDMI 1, and it works as it should. The second most annoying issue: The poor design of the lens housing in terms of the lens cap. The lens cap only fits on when the lens is zoomed a certain amount. So depending on the zoom you have to set, you may have to re zoom every time you take the lens cap off. Theres also the latency which prevents playing any fast paced video games, but I expected that. And I do wish it had a pouch or magnetic portion to hold the remote, which I just set on top of it. Fan noise is moderate, but not an issue for me, especially since I dont use the built in speaker which is so-so. Despite these issues, its a great value for the price point so far, about 10 months in. Brighter and clearer than I expected, and the unit itself feels pretty sturdy. The button clicks also feel sturdy (sturdier than the Fangor if I remember correctly). So hopefully the unit will physically last.

> 24 hourIve always been excited about owning a Projector and so after weeks of careful consideration I settled on the Wimius K1. I purchased a screen and mount and blissfully went about setting up my lounge area for a movie extravaganza with the family. Whoa was I surprise by how bright and crisp the picture looked on the huge 150 screen, even in the daytime the picture was still clearly visible. The internal speakers were great too, clear; loud enough and did not distort at high volumes. The software interface is rather basic but most of the time ignored in favour of an Amazon Firestick which can be powered by the USB ports provided. Connecting a Bluetooth Speaker to the Projector is a waste of time as there is a significant audio delay that cannot be adjusted, again the Amazon Firestick was used to mitigate this issue. It has now been a year and 3 months since purchasing the projector and while I still love the experience of watching the Wimius, a slowly developing burn mark is starting to souring my viewing experience. After researching and chatting with the Wimius support team, the fault appears progressive and isolated to the polarized film which slowly starts to burn. According to Wimius this affects 99% of all LCD units and there is nothing that can be done for it. In summary the Wimius K1 is a great starting Projector if youre willing to throw away some cash, however for those more interested in longevity Id suggest saving for a more established brand

> 24 hourI ordered this projector with mild skepticism. I have used projectors as my main viewing devices at home for around 20 years. My latest one was a DLP 3900 ANSI Lumens 22000:1 contrast ratio. It lasted right at 3 years and died. Not wanting to spend $1000.00 to replace it, I started researching LED projectors. I viewed many under $300 and read tons of reviews. I came to the conclusion that the only way to truly know how they would stack up to my old one was to take a chance and order one. Back and forth across multiple decisions, I came back to this one each time. I received it today and I must say I am pleased so far. The Picture quality is very crisp and clear. After modifying my ceiling mount to fit it, I mounted it 14 feet from a 12 foot screen. The adjustments to make the image fit my screen were very simple with the keystone and zoom functions. (I had to bring it down to 90% because of my throw distance). I played with the image levels a bit and we watched a movie streamed from Disney+. It was a brilliant experience. The Colors were vivid and the brightness cut through a low ambient floor lamp well. Although the internal speakers have very solid sound, I would suggest connecting a sound bar or similar amplified audio device *the output from AV is lower than expected*, overall, I would recommend the K1 to movie goers. My 1st experience removed my skepticism! Way to go WiMiUS! I am anxious to see how the lamp life holds to claim. I will write more and upload a video in the near future.

> 24 hourIts stunning to me that a projector this good can be this cheap -- yay technology. This is a true 1080P projector, easy to focus and adjust (great keystone adjustment). Its small but not tiny. Ive had only two significant issues with this projector: 1. You need the remote to enter a WiFi password. The remote does not come with (AAA) batteries. 2. The fan is kind of loud. Note that the projector has surprisingly good and sufficiently loud speakers (enough to mostly drown out the fan noise) but this is actually the main reason I wouldnt want to use this projector as my main TV viewing device. Even with light coming through the windows, the projection of a ~80 image is decently bright (although not as bright as a good flat screen TV). At night or in a darkened room its fantastic. Other reviewers complained about the image being soft. I wonder if I got lucky or they didnt realize you need to focus the image manually. I didnt at first (the image was pretty sharp but not fabulous) but once I realized you could just manually focus it was tack sharp, even with significant keystone adjustment. 1Y Update: Still happy with it. I took it to Europe and can confirm it works on 220V. The AirPlay feature has never worked (deducting a star) and there’s never been a software update. But I use it with an AppleTV 4K so it’s all good. Startup is slow but setting it to default to HDMI1 helps. Built in sound is merely OK. It blows a lot of rather hot air out the right side.

> 24 hourMy biggest issue is that you cant actually stream any videos, movies or tv shows to it. Because of their DRM protection and the fact this device isnt licensed it wont actually let you connect your phone and play Netflix or Hulu or Amazon or YouTube or really anything at all unfortunately. I can mirror an iPhone screen and do basic things like text, but any time I try to play a video of some kind it just goes black and disconnects. I cant get any android devices at all to do anything with it, no connection at all. It doesnt show up on the network for Android devices, and most android devices dont support HDMI yet so even if you buy a micro USB or usb-c to HDMI cable youre just wasting your money because you cant actually use your phone with this, making the wifi screen mirroring feature completely and utterly useless. However, overall I will say this device is worth it because the picture quality is pretty good, its nice and bright, it doesnt get TOO HOT but it does get pretty hot so I would say avoid using it in a closed room with bad air conditioning or just have a fan nearby if youre sitting next to it. I was surprised when I noticed it had its own speaker built in, which is actually pretty loud and of decent quality, not the best but surprisingly decent. As for projection size, 500ft is a stretch, you need to have a video with 4k resolution if you want to project this size otherwise its not a good picture quality and its kind of dim, but for even 150 feet or more the picture quality is very good its nice and bright still and Ive projected probably up to 200ft and saw good quality so I could see how maybe with a 4k resolution video not just 1080p it would work at up to 500ft.
