> 3 dayI got this directly from the vendor with OpnSense installed. Its a nice little machine. Much better that your standard router/wifi combo. I have my old wtr in ap mode now. Protectli has good customer support should you have an issue.

> 3 dayThis thing is built like a tank! This is my first dip into running pfSense, and the question I could not seem to get a straight answer to is how much throughput is any particular hardware package good for?

> 3 dayBought to run Pfsense and discoveries that its only possible to push about 100mbit as an OpenVpn client using 256 encryption. Its perfectly fine as a router as long as youre not interested in using the router as a VPN client as well. I wish the marketing and the Amazon descr6 was more forthcoming about the expected throughput of this device and I would have just purchased a more powerful unit.

> 3 dayIve been looking for something to run my home/small office firewall. Ive gone the flashed router path but by far, this is the best option to do. Worth the $$ and the time spent. I have pfsense firewall running.

> 3 dayUsing it for PFSense on an 80Mbps DLS connection, works fine. The Manufatures website has full specs and some good FAQs on what to performance to expect with PFSense for each model.

> 3 dayReally wanted this product to work. Got the first one and kept getting CAM Errors for the hard drive. Replaced the hard drive still the same error. Returned this the first time and received the second one. Now Im operating with all new hardware and Im still getting the same error. Put in known good hardware and the box crashes. Now it just beeps at me, reset BIOS buy jumping pins according to instructions, nothing just more beeping. Terrible product and would not purchase again.

11-06-2025This is my third unit that has now failed. There is an issue with some function with the motherboard that fails prematurely. The latest has a QC mark indicating a manufacture date of late 2018. I have had dozens of computers and none have had this high a failure rate in such a short period of time. If you need fanless SFF then these work well when they run but be prepared for it to die within a few years.

> 3 dayAwesome little guy. Running Untangle flawlessly. Did have to shut down some dpi to get full bandwidth, but that’s me being stingy with my gigabit link.
