Beautiful puzzle. Thick, study pieces. Definitely a giftable puzzle.

My daughter gave me this puzzle more than a year ago, but I just got around to working on it in January 2022. I had never worked on a jigsaw puzzle before, so I was a bit nervous about tackling this one, with 1,000 pieces and so many dark areas and similar colors. It was a difficult puzzle for me, but once I started getting organized in my approach and gave myself permission to do it slowly, I really enjoyed it. The finished puzzle is just beautiful--such vibrant colors and so many wonderful images--truly a rainbow kingdom! My 1-year-old grandson just loves looking at it and touching the individual creatures. Im getting ready to order a second puzzle from Elena Essex!

One of my favourite puzzles to date, only took 3-4 evenings. It’s absolutely stunning, but I had to break it so I could tackle it a second time. The attention to detail is gorgeous, and the quality was pretty good. I’ve now bought a second design!

Bought this puzzle because its colorful and I love animals. The quality is terrific and easy to put together. Ive done a bunch of 1000 piece puzzles and this was the easiest and funnest one Ive done yet! Will buy more from this artist.

This puzzle was fun. Hard at times but it is really pretty and one of the ones that will look good framed. I found the perfect frame at ikea. The ribba frame fit the puzzle perfectly. Only wish it was just a tad bigger so that the edges don’t get cover by the frame. I never write many reviews but one looks nice.

I love this puzzle. Elena Essex is my favorite puzzle company too. Zero (seriously) puzzle dust. Not a single piece had to be cut apart from another, so they were manufactured very well. The rest of the puzzle was pretty normal EXCEPT the dark blue animals at the bottom? Yeah, they might as well be black and part of the background. They were so hard to tell apart from the background that I spent two days putting together those five animals alone. My eyes deceived me. I told myself I was just colorblind about six times. 11/10 stars.

Box: Sturdy, with clear bright images on front and back. Poster: Full-color poster included. The colors in the reference poster are true to the puzzle pieces. Pieces: Matte finish (yay!), sturdy. Very round knobs, which I love. Clear monogamous fit. Just the right amount of snug for it to pass the pickup challenge, but not so tight that they were wedged in place. This is actually really important for a puzzle with a dark background because if you have to pry pieces apart, it can lead to peeling which is very obvious against the black background. Background: Despite having a black background, there were only about two or three pieces in the entire puzzle that were solid black. The animals fill the space so well! Gradient: O.M.G. This is my favorite gradient Ive ever done. I love animals and rainbows! The perfect combination of the two. I saved the last and darkest section for the morning when I had good daylight. That section is quite dark, though not as challenging as I feared. Each animal has distinct patterning that makes it easier to determine where pieces go. And it was only the last three rows. I sorted by shape and it took me about 10-15 minutes. Dust: None. As in zero. As in hallelujah. TLDR: Buy. This. Puzzle. It is beautiful, fun, unique, and delightful!

The picture is stunning and the puzzle was very fun to put together. The different color sections made it possible for four of us to work on it at the same time. Docked one star because all the pieces are not uniquely fitted. There were quite a few that were virtually identical and could be put in the wrong place. In the all black areas, this was a particular nuisance.
