Update: These started fading within a few months, and theyre basically illegible now. (I washed these in the dishwasher.) At least the old ones waited years before they started fading. Definitely going to research DURABLE replacements. Rating dropped from 5 to 1 star, since I cant measure anything with these anymore. Replacing a pair of 20+ year old Pyrex 1-cup measuring cups whose paint had faded to the point of being illegible. These brand new bad boys are probably going to last just as long.

It is nice that Pyrex is a company who continues to provide the same outstanding quality as ever!

You would think with something this old and ubiquitous that they would have the design down pat. Instead, they blew it badly. The one-cup size has a small handle that is difficult to hold securely. I am waiting for one of these to go flying out of a wet hand. The markings are “okay”, but the lettering is too small in my opinion and the 1-cup line is halfway down the cup. YMMC on the markings. I do not like the broad, squat design that they have adopted either. I guess I am a traditionalist favoring the more upright design with a real handle.

The spout is a bit small so unless you pour very, very slowly, you will spill. The measuring cups are also available for half this price elsewhere online.

The pictures show a nice wide spout. The cups that arrived today have a very narrow spout. As other reviewers have said, that narrow spout causes spills and makes a mess--dangerous with hot liquids. Also, the cups do not have the detailed markings of the older style measuring cups. Overall, misleading advertising.

Nice to get a new set of these. We have been working with an old set for 20 plus years. I love how they have made these a bit bigger!
