Rainshower -RCCQ-A CQ1000 Filter Replacement Cartridge for Shower Filter

i like the price and effectiveness of this filter, and changing every 6 months is cost-effective. the quality of my shower water is significantly increased with this filter.

I usually do not post many reviews but this had to be shared. I had the Rainshowr filter for awhile now and I just ordered another filter as mine expired. I was having doubts about the water I was consuming so I decided to test everything. I bought 3 different brands of testers so I had fair results. I tested bottled water, tap water, drinking water(I have Berkey Water Systems which dechlorinates!!), reverse osmosis water, etc. I’m so disappointed I got marketed into buying this filter. I purposely wanted to buy a filter to reduce chlorine to almost 0 ppm and I thought this was working. The problem was I believed the company. Their catchphrase is “dechlorinating shower filter.” Pics: The tester on the right is before the filter (tap water) and the tester on the left is after putting in the new filter and letting water run through it for 30 minutes. Just so you know it says filter should start working in 30-60 seconds.

Shipped and delivered according to agreement. Exactly what I wanted. Well priced even with delivery charges. Bought it for a replacement of a shower head filter bought from kangen water.

Definitely a bit pricey when youre looking at multiple showers but definitely does the job as well

The Rainshowr CQ-1000 is a good quality compact shower filter that is inexpensive and has a great value with its refill system. Replacing the spent cartridge with the replacement was a breeze, and the cartridge recycling program is a plus as well. The original cartridge lasted much longer than other KDF & mixed media filters Ive used in the past which tend to clog from hard water or have shortened life with soft water as the KDF material becomes a solid mass from its normal oxidation process. Its nice that it isnt a huge, heavy filter like some units, and you dont need to waste the main housing every time it needs recharging. [...]

I have been using these filters for several years now, and I really like them. Our water is super hard, and this helps to make showers more enjoyable and less drying to the skin.

Lasts a long time. No ore Chlorine smell or damage to skin and hair. A Wonderful product.

We all absorb more chlorine in the shower than any other way. This filter is excellent. It helps with skin and hair dryness. I notice a real difference when I neglect to change my filter on time.

Weve used these excellent shower filters for many years, and have always used their mail-back recycling program. However, the replacement filters I just received (Aug. 2015) have a note affixed to the packaging stating, We will be discontinuing our 15 year recycling program. Mailing filters back to us has become cost prohibitive to our customers. Old media which was recovered was given free to smelting companies, yet our costs in processing old filters kept going up. We truly regret having to discontinue this effort. Please put your old filters in your communitys solid waste containers. These hard plastic filters are gonna last a long, long time in our community landfill and that is just too sad to think about, so we will be looking for a more recyclable shower filter...bummer!!

I have been using this brand for five years. I was happy to see this brand on Amazon. This filter makes a huge improvement in the condition of my skin and hair. I wish that they made a great tub-faucet filter, as well.
