I thought Id love these pens, and that theyd be so helpful when embossing if I miss a spot, but sadly, I didnt open them until the return period was over, and one of the markers was dry...I dont mean kind of dry, I mean DRY. I hate giving bad reviews, but these are not a great product, if others come the way mine did. But then I also tried Rangers embossing ink pad and it was also a disappointment. Maybe they should stay out of the embossing arena until theyve mastered the products.

Powders stick really well with the black marker, but when using the clear pen the powders dont always stick so be aware of that before applying a heat tool because your work will look spotty and porous.

These are amazing! What ever you write or doodle stays moist enough to get a good embossing powder coat on it without it drying. It embossed so nice.

Ive only used the Ranger brand so I cant speak for any other brand, but these embossing pens worked and they were nice! They did stain a little into each other (i.e. if I used clear on top of the black for some reason), which was a little annoying to me but understandable since it is ink. It got a little dry after a couple of uses, but was fine after I stopped using it for a while. These are great, affordable pens that I would recommend to anyone thinking about trying heat embossing!

This is just what I needed to complement the Ranger embossing powder I use, super fine Gold being my favorite. I was able to master the Ranger Inkssentials pen in a few minutes, allowing me to get clean thick lines and delicate fine lines. You can make a professionally embossed card that looks as good as any commercial product. The best thing is, it’s repeatable. We made a few dozen embossed gold place cards for a friend’s wedding reception, and every one of them looked perfectly the same. Since I use mainly Ranger embossing products and inks, it was a no-brainer to buy these pens (you get one black and one clear), but I was still surprised how creative you can be with them. They make embossing fun again.

I use these pens for personal cardmaking and I love how professional they make the cards look. The ink stays wet on paper allowing you to pour on the embossing powder perfectly before using a heating tool to make it set. The tip of the pens are also very thin, so making precise letters or drawings is very easy. Id say this is a crafts essential.

Like these pens very much. Using them for enhancing my wax seal stamping and enjoying the results.

I use this to draw or fill in spots with embossing powder. It is convenient to use instead of pulling out a pad to ink up the embossing area.

This was my first time using Ranger Inkssentials Embossing Pens and I am very impressed. I used the pens to scrapbook and then later to make greeting cards. The embossing powder that I used over the top stuck flawlessly, thanks to these pens! The tip of the pens were precise, and allowed my handwriting to be neat and flowing. The two colors (black and silver) are versatile for being seen on different backgrounds. These pens are great for adding a personal touch to crafts, letters or projects. I highly recommend them!
