Greater than one weekI will say the product is inexpensive and easy to use. However, even after following all the rules of embossing ie. tapping off excess, using a pointed tip and firmly, brushing off the excess from the item youre embossing and knowing that a single particle of loose power will melt into a mini blob once embossed, the finish was anything but clean. The finish was either barely there or sloppy. (Note the pic.) I found the tips to dry out quickly and I am returning. However, per Amazon I can only exchange for the exact item or one that is not identical. So I cannot even try a different product unless I just return and completely order a different brand. I just want a brand that works. I’m not sure who I’m more frustrated at: the product or Amazons exchange policy. I opted to hope that the item I received was defective and replace it with a new one. I’ll keep you posted.

> 3 dayI have used this to correct small imperfections left while embossing. It is effective but I wish a sharper point was available. Until then I will continue to use these and hope for an improvement. I recommend you try them.

> 3 dayIm still figuring out the technique and all but the pen seems to work as it should. Much cheaper here than the one of found in craft stores. Happy with them so far

> 3 dayIve really enjoyed using these pens for craft projects, scrap booking, fun designs, calligraphy, etc. They are not super-fine-tipped, but are just fine enough that they will work for small projects. The white pen is perfect for water marking, ombre or bright designs where more transparent embossing powder is needed. There is no to low odor and the pens write seamlessly, making it easy to create loopy designs or draw in unique styles. The product also arrived on time and in good condition. Ive really enjoyed them so far.

> 3 dayPowders stick really well with the black marker, but when using the clear pen the powders dont always stick so be aware of that before applying a heat tool because your work will look spotty and porous.

> 3 dayIve had other embossing pens before and they have worked pretty well. I dont know if its the pen or my technique, but Ive never had this problem to this extent before. The embossing powder didnt stick too well. I put it on, shook it off the excess, and put it on once more because it didnt really look like there was much on it the first time. When I used the heat embosser, the embossing powder looked blotchy and bumpy. I know the picture attached is messy, but that was another related issue. I felt like I couldnt shake off the excess very well or else the powder on the letters would just come off, so the whole project because very sloppy. Maybe, hopefully it will get better after I use it a little more, or maybe I need to try another color or non metallic embossing powder.

> 3 dayI got into embossing, but I just used ink pads. I actually do like using the pens for finer projects. For instance, when I stencil, the product is great for tracing or coloring in stencils instead of using ink pads. It also helped with touch ups as well. It also allows for free form so I can emboss my handwriting as well.
