Great pens! I deducted one star because I wish the ink would last longer. Im not sure if its drying out or if Im using it too much (I use it probably once or twice a week?)

Embossing your own design is very easy! I have been making cards that have my signature embossed. What a cool thing! I will be ordering more of these when these are used up. What a great invention! I highly recommend this tool. My only worry is that in a dry, Colorado climate they may dry out faster than I can use them as the caps dont seem to be very tight on my pens.

How can you go wrong with Ranger? These pens work great. I love them!

These pens are great! I like that the pack includes a clear and a black pen. The first set I received had a dried out black marker but Amazon remedied the issue right away. I love being able to emboss things that I write/draw.

I have used this to correct small imperfections left while embossing. It is effective but I wish a sharper point was available. Until then I will continue to use these and hope for an improvement. I recommend you try them.

These pens are great for embossing detailed images, drawing & embossing your own designs or handwriting, and fixing any knicks or scratches in a larger embossed piece (craft tweezers anyone?). I purchased these pens when I first started dabbling in papercrafts about 8-9 months ago. Back then, I didnt realize that I needed an anti-static powder tool of some kind, so all of my attempts using these were a mess. A few days ago, I was clearing out some of my craft storage boxes and thought about tossing these pens, but they were still brand new & were not dry at all. I had a few panels of boring experiments that were sitting around, so I thought Ive give these pens another shot & see if I can jazz up some of those panels. This time, I loved results. Im attaching a picture of the first piece that I tried the pen on. Its a watercolored & dry-embossed henna design that was dull dull dull. After using the clear version of this pen to highlight a portion of the raised design & adding a bit of embossing powder to it, the piece was interesting enough to mount on a card - at least I thought it was! :) I did notice that the ink in these pens dry a little more quickly than the ink pad seems to - possibly because the ink that you are laying down with the pen is a much thinner & finer layer. Youll have to stop and heat emboss in sections and powder again before you do another section, if you are doing more than a few words of text. The image that I included was done in 8-10 sections. I think the results can definitely be worth the effort. Ive since gone to town with these pens, embossing all kinds of details (by the way, using this pen on the highlights of your Altenew flowers instead of using an embossing inkpad results in a crisper clearer image), and the pens have still not run dry, so they seem to last quite a while. Ive tried this technique using a glue pen in the past (e.g., Quickie Glue Roller Pen, Zig Squeeze & Roll, etc.), and they all work pretty well if Im just wanting to do a small dot or a doodle or something; however, they were all a bit inconsistent and skipped or blobbed if I tried to draw a consistent line or wanted a consistent thickness. Since this embossing pen is a marker, I get a smoother and more consistent finish. Also, it is much easier to fix mistakes or tweezer marks on a large embossed image with this pen than with an embossing ink pad.

Ive only used the Ranger brand so I cant speak for any other brand, but these embossing pens worked and they were nice! They did stain a little into each other (i.e. if I used clear on top of the black for some reason), which was a little annoying to me but understandable since it is ink. It got a little dry after a couple of uses, but was fine after I stopped using it for a while. These are great, affordable pens that I would recommend to anyone thinking about trying heat embossing!

I ordered these pens and my first set arrived completely dried out. I tried to return them, but they are not returnable. I emailed Amazon and they sent a replacement. The second set of pens was perfect. The embossing powder stuck perfectly. Thank you Amazon!

Did not work well to portion out a stamp but great to fill in spots to emboss
