Raspberry Pi RASPBERRY-PI3-CASE Official Raspberry Pi 3 Case, Red/White

This case not only looks great, easy to assemble and fits OEM. I use this Pi3 and this case for my BMW OBD WiFi agent to data log and tune flash my Baby Bimmer..

This is a great case. Its from Raspberry, so they have put much thoughts in the build and design. See pictures. It fits our new Raspberry Pi 3 snug! Very happy with the features it offer, it requires no tools to assemble. The board sits perfect. It has the correct LED light spots for the new design. All ports are exposed properly. The microSD card is accessible without needing to open the case. GPIO pins are exposed on the side if you want to connect it or also able to do that with the top open while still covering other components of the Pi. The only small downside could be that that they would have given room for some airflow on the bottom of the case for air circulation and cooling. The ICUs at the bottom tend to get hot sometimes (even with the heat sinks on, but not too much. Overall this is a great buy and we are very happy with the case design and how well it fits the Pi. Our daughter loved the case. :)

I have tried a few cases (some 2x as expensive as this) and this one is honestly hard to beat. Has smallest footprint possible, has rubber nubs on bottom to prevent sliding around, is accurately machined, and the panels all snap off easily for access.

No extra steps are needed for installation, just fits my raspberry pi 3 right out of the box.

it does feel a bit flimsy, and it seems like there should be more holes and slots for cables. but its cheap and looks nice, if your project requires a sturdy cast that doesnt just fall apart when you grab it, i would avoid this case.

Use this cover if you are building a retro game system emulator with your raspberry pi, it looks great! just print out or buy a sweet nintendo sticker and you are all set!

Love this case. Its a little roomy for my taste, and the snap lid on it is a only bit loose. But for the most part, accessing the ports, and SD card is the best out of all the cases I own. The LED light pickups are AMAZING. GREAT CASE!

I like the official case because of its flexibility. You can fully enclose it (except for main ports like USB, power, etc.) or use different panels to expose the GPIO pins and such. No tools or screws required. I have several of these.

It does what it is supposed to. Its pretty sturdy but doesnt have the best ventilation.

Great case. Very sturdy, and I love the colors. The red really stands out, even with the white case. The side panels remove pretty easily (which may be a good or bad thing depending on what you are looking for) but my main complaint is the lack of ventilation of any kind. I picked this up for a retropie build and found that while in use, I typically need to keep the top cover off to help dissipate heat.
