Only within the last few months have I started to do puzzles. I work them with a senior citizen and they are a great way to bring people together of many age groups to enjoy each other’s company and conversation. It does not take long to understand not all puzzles are made the same. The Ravensburger are by far the best of the best. Their pieces are cut very clean and fit with the precision of clock parts. This may not mean much to you unless you try putting together a cheaper one. It becomes highly irritating when you have to trim off the paper because the manufacture failed to properly cut the piece all the way through leaving a jagged edge or the backing is still attached. Well worth the money to get a Ravensburger from the get go and be done with it.

All Ravensburger puzzles are excellent as theyre so well made. This one was intermediate in difficulty and just about right for us oldsters. We enjoyed it and then filed it on our library shelf of puzzles to bring out again when weve forgotten it a bit. Its too good to discard although we may allow our grandchildren to borrow as they wish. I dont know how to rate this as an educational toy although Im sure it is. I left that part out.

I was looking for large piece puzzles. They are not large piece.

Pieces are nice as stated from this manufacturer, however, there was a piece missing!! This was a true letdown especially since these puzzles are pricey. I looked at other puzzles and at least 1 other puzzle for sale (the birds) also had a missing piece. Quality control of the products needs a dramatic improvement. Be AWARE and make sure you read the reviews.

i only do puzzles when working abroad, but have found the ravensburger line to be my favourite. i usually do 500-750 piece puzzles to clear my mind. ive found some other companies have puzzle pieces that tear easily on first use or else have such generic cuts, it can be difficult to tell if the piece actually fits or not. i never have that happen with ravensburger. i always like this companys puzzle pictures and i either keep them or give them to family instead of donating. this hang loose puzzle is one ill keep and do again.
