I gave it five stars for softness, but I actually bought them because I like a stiff tooth brush --- and that they are! If you want something that wont fool around and will REALLY clean you teeth and gums (not just gently massage them), then THESE brushes are for you! Two thumbs up!

These are firm, which is what I was looking for for coffee and tea stains. They work great.

Amid all the controversy, soft vs firm, I prefer a nice stiff brush. It just feels cleaner

I personally love firm toothbrush. This is exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely buy them again! I am not rating Softness since this is a firm toothbrush.

These are great, they will toughen your gums up and take off the plaque. soft brushes dont do the job.
