We just came through 3 weeks of major rain in Southern California and the wind got pretty bad at times too. Granted this umbrella is a little bit smallish for a full-grown guy but its a great umbrella to keep in your car just in case you get caught in rain. The wind was so strong that twice it turned my umbrella inside out and the umbrellas spring system kept it from being broken into pieces and all had to do was give it a little flick and it went right back to normal.

Have not had any rain since the umbrella arrived. I will assume is it a great umbrella. If I find out otherwise (once it rains), I will edit this review.

Quality was better than expected

Seems very well put together. Very strong and wide for its compact size. However, the one I received was not a double canopy. I called customer service and requested a replacement. Will update you later. Seem well worth the price! Heres the update! My replacement items arrived earlier than expected. Very, very happy with my product. Would highly recommend this umbrella to everyone. Make sure when you do get yours to register it at their website.

This appears to be a very good product for the price. I have not used it in a very windy day, so I am not how sturdy it is. One thing that did surprise me a bit was the fact that the shaft is somewhat shorter than expected. Anyways, Ive put it to good use with all the heavy rain California had recently. I dont really plan to use it as a sun shield.
