Retroflag Raspberry pi case superpi Case with Safe Shutdown for Raspberry Pi case U Case New Version (Purple)

Overall its a nice case.. holds the Raspberry Pi well, with plenty of room and includes boards that enable a safe shutdown and a reset buttons to work. My only real concern is that the case is put together using self tapping screws into the plastic posts in the top of the case, rather than using machined screws and inserts in the posts to facilitate ease of re-assembly like Retroflag did with their GPi case. What this means is that if you have to open and reclose the case you will run into a high likelihood of stripping those posts and being unable to re-assemble the case. This is exactly what happened to me. I opted to install a cooling fan into the case and the fan bearing went bad leaving me to have to disassemble the case and now theres a very real chance I cant reassemble it.. :(

Its a beautiful looking case and everything works out the gate.

This case is almost exactly the same as an official Ninty SNES Classic in size and layout. The mechanical on/off switch is super satisfying to use, although the couple ways I tried I could not get the shutdown script to work. The included faux cartridge is neat, but I dont feel comfortable having a magnet that close to my pi and I couldnt get it to fit into the port, so I dont use it.

Bought 3 cases one of them came with the second usb controller adapter rusted, ttied to contact the selller but no luck so Im leaving on the review box here, was about to buy 3 more, not sure if I should now.

Feels like really great quality and nice deal for what it is. Assembly was a breeze and instructions are very clear. In hindsight I wish I had realized there was no fan with this but appreciate that the mounting is there for one.

Fixes constant under voltage error older version of this case had. Works as intended.

I actually got the US-style (SNES) case instead of the Japanese-style (Super Famicom) that I ordered.

I LOVE this case. I have a 3B+ with a carefully curated retropie installed in the classic RetroFlag NES case, but I wanted to do another build for the living room TV. I was not expecting the quality to be this good at this price point. I am very happy with this purchase, now I just need to justify buying the Sega Genesis version :)

However I already have this awesome case and I would love to just buy the cartridge by itself, with the label and magnets, you do that and you have my sale.
