Good option to use in slow / short commutes. Great for travel (to/from airport) for car rentals or Uber where switching cars is frequent. The vest is worn on child then easily restraints to the car seatbelt.

In a pinch, the rider vest works great. We have the smaller size and use it if absolutely necessary, like when you are traveling and don’t want to lug a huge car seat or rent one. The small size is fine and we’ve used it and honestly, it’s a pain to get in and out of but we’ve done it on two trips. Note that our child didn’t like it because they have to sit without any cushioning from a car seat. The large size is totally unnecessary. At that size, they can safely sit in a bottom only booster which is very easy to carry and which you can carry right into the plane as a carry on. No need for this clunky heavy vest that makes getting in the car a pain!

We purchased this product to use while traveling instead of dealing with the hassle of a car seat. It was fantastic! We loved not having to carry and check in a car seat at the airline, didn’t have to worry about installing a car seat with taxi’s and rental cars etc. It was a learning curve for both us and our child but we figured it out. Extremely light weight and easily fit in our carry on. Our vest didn’t come with instructions but we were able to print them from the company website. Watching videos online was a huge help for installation and proper position. We used our vest with an inflatable booster seat because our child could not see out of the window. We had one hard break in the car and witnessed first hand that this thing works ! (We also used the top tether strap in every vehicle). Our taxi driver didn’t believe it was “like a car seat” and gave some grief but were okay with our booster seat. However once they saw how the vest worked and installed they got the point (also where we experienced the hard break job).

We had several trips planned this year and I was looking for a different car seat option for my four year old. This fit the bill. I didn’t feel comfortable switching my son to a booster because he was barely over the weight requirements. This 5 point harness is safer and only weighs 3 lbs! It takes longer to get him in the car but we didn’t mind considering I didn’t have to lug a big heavy carseat through the airport.

We used this on a trip to hawaii and we felt that our five year old was very safe. He was fine with wearing it and it was easy to get on.

I have a child who still needs to be safely harnessed into the car, but he has sized out of all car seats, and boosters without a five-point harness do not work as he can get out of them too easily. We bought both a large and an Xtra-Large for my 9 year old son...he fits in the large perfectly now, and will probably be in the X-tra large by next year. It fits around him like a light-weight vest, and the velcro is strong enough that its hard for him to get out of, plus it has a clip that would be difficult for him to figure out. We put the vest on, and it has a tether hook from the back that hooks into our car and keeps him safe and seated. My only gripe is that there isnt a protective bumper for the tether hooks at the back, so they can get hot if left in the car, and I just wish they were placed a little differently on the vest so that they werent so close to the back of his head. But otherwise, this has been the perfect solution for keeping our son with special needs safely seated in our car.

Bought this for our daughter for our Christmas trip. Very compact and well make. Has hooks so that an extra protection can be given via the iso fix .

We bought this for an upcoming trip and its brilliant!! We have used them in dads truck and its the best buy. No more hassle switching car seats. It comes in a backpack style tote that will fit all the unexpected bonuses. As is (in web picture) the harness is ready to go. It requires a shoulder belt BUT comes with the needed accessories to use it with a car that only has a lap belt. It also comes with a neck support (havent used yet). We love it so much we will be taking out the car seat and using this lovley invention.
