> 24 hourWhen I dye my clothes people usually ask me where I bought that particular article. Its nice to make an old blouse looks new. It saves me money too.

> 24 hourDid not seem anything like Rit Dye I buy in the store - Ive been using Rit Dye for over 20 years - the first half of the bottle was very, very watery. The dye did work, but I definitely felt that half the bottle had been replaced with water.

> 24 hourWorked great. Just dont forget to use Rit Fixative with Rit dye. Color is holding super strong. If you dont use the fixative it tends to wash out. Just a matter of using it correctly. I did 1/4 cup to 3 gallons of super hot water (tap) for 20min stirring constantly in a 5 gallon bucket. Then take 4tbs of Rit color fixative to 3 gallons of super hot water. You can ring out the clothes but do not rinse until fixative is used. Stir in Fixative for 20 min (total time 40min for color plus fixative). Came out great, no color runs or fading. Used on 100% cotton.

> 24 hourUsed this color to mix with a royal blue (making periwinkle), and it was just right. Gave me the perfect color overall.

> 24 hourThis is a great dye product (an I love the violet color, light-medium purple with a hint of fuchsia would be a close call to my experience/my particular fabric) Easy to use, a bit hard to get out of a washer but it wont fade on to other clothing, providing you clean it after the dye bath. Washer will gradually fade back to normal. The only problem I see with this is that one absolutely MUST (no exceptions) use the after dye bath too - the fixative to keep the dye put, otherwise your clothing will fade, and fade quickly and badly! But, if you buy the dye and the color fixative (color-stay?) along with the dye you will have great results, Ive always had an even dye but I do have my own recipe which includes using BOTH vinegar and salt in the dye bath as well as the small amount of dish detergent (sometimes use laundry detergent) Works well, but make sure you buy the second product. They should offer them together, or at least warn you! Thats my main gripe.
