> 3 dayIve been used this keyboard little over one year, but a lot of type errors by skipping. The battery often gone fast, so I was using it with power cable most time. I thought that this one is hot swap, but it isnt, so some people like me might not cheated. Good thing is good typing and shape if it works but time to time it is not good by typing over. Thus I move to Keychron K2 and bye to Kg 61. I still using some of their key caps at least. I am not recommend this to anyone. After this review, they send me message saying that mine (year 2020) was not hot swap model, so they clear what was my misunderstanding. and they suggest detail more info for Bluetooth disconnection. So I like to share it. First time when I was experiencing disconnection after a week later of using it because I am not heavy typing person. But after recharging it, it became faster losing quickly perhaps battery quality is not great. I didnt want to charge and back and forth a lot, so after doing few time charge more I give up using wireless. This was less than a few weeks after I purchased it. However difficulty to use this keyboard is the typing response. even after I using cable, response of tying often slower. When it is connected to cable it must work all the time, but it was not and also when the keyboard is connected cable, wireless must not work, but it seems keep on working. is this switch back really functioning right? I am not sure. anyway because they response to my writing I go one more star. new update 11/4/21 the seller is very nice and understand my situation and sending me a new replace without any extra pay. Because of their great effort for the customers satisfaction, at this moment I like to give them 5 stars and I can see the new one is hot swap possible and extra switches and tools comes with it. At this moment this is worth enough company very responsible for their product and I keep watching closely for their new products.

> 3 dayThe keyboard is great for the price there are some better options out there but for a wireless and hot swappable keyboard its fantastic. You can mod it or customize it if you would like.

> 3 dayI bought this for 50 dollars for my gaming setup, I bought it in white with the linear red switches and then modded it. The modding process cost around another 70 dollars but that was to my preference. If you are a gamer I recommend buying this and then putting in some lighter switches or changing the looks if you want. If you are using this for work use then this stock should be more than enough for your standard. I have seen some people say that 60% just isnt the right layout for them so if this keyboard seems too small or foreign because of the compact size then I dont recommend buying it. If you dont think this is the right layout then I would recommend the TKL boards or the standard full-size layout. Overall if you are a gamer or someone who wants desk space then its a good buy.

> 3 dayIt’s nice to be back on a mechanical keyboard, and this one in particular is very pleasant to type on. It offers good feedback on the presses, a satisfyingly loud sound, it’s not too cramped despite its small size, has a sturdy weight that keeps it anchored on the desk, and at least the white version with its blue backlighting is quite pretty. I have been using it for only a couple of days and I have found, in reference to preceding reviews, that its main problem is not the question mark, which can be toggled on easily enough by holding down FN, then pressing Shift (does not work if you press both at the same time), but the arrow keys, which are (and stay) toggled off when that happens, and the parentheses, which require a very awkward three-key move, FN-Left Shift-F9. So I would keep the question mark toggled off, then hit these keys together when you need it: FN-Left Shift-Question Mark. The hyphen also is awkward, requiring you to hold down FN, then reach across with your left hand to hit the f11 key, unless you’re more digitally acrobatic than me and can easily press the FN key with you right thumb and reach up with right middle finger. And the position of the FN key is also not the best: it should be on the other side of the board; I often hit it when I mean to hit the right arrow. Other notes: I have not found the keyboard falling asleep to be much a problem. Could be that the manufacturer has addressed this particular flaw. For Mac users, it is the Windows key that stands in place of the command key, not the Control key. Not sure if there is any use for the Control key with the Mac. And, in addition to the back-delete, which is where it should be, FN-n is the forward-delete. But the numbers are also a bit awkward; they are part of the function keys and require a simultaneous press of the FN key. None of the shortcomings have been dealbreakers for me, however. This is a wonderful mechanical keyboard. I doubt you can get better for the price, especially not with Bluetooth capability.

> 3 dayThey claim that the product is hotswappable with other switches, so inherently I bought switches and a switch puller to switch them out. They didnt come up and upon reading a reply in the reviews they claim they arent hotswappable. Honestly obnoxious because Ive damaged some of the switches trying to pull.

> 3 dayA close friend got super invested in custom keyboards. While I was waiting for a case to arrive, he convinced me to pick this up, as a fun starter hot swap board at a very low price point. It was so fun to type on as a beginner that I wound up buying a bakeneko case from cannonkeys so I would have a fun alternative, while still waiting on the Salvation case, and now I’ve spent way too much money on keyboards, caps, switches, stabs, cables and all that jazz. The only negative about this board is that it’s such a fun intro to a crazy niche hobby that you’ll likely wind up dropping thousands on fancy pants builds and switches. This one isn’t super customizable, and frankly it’s probably best that way, because if your buying one of these you have the knowledge and desire to actually seek out some bangin keebs in the future.

> 3 dayHad mine for about 2 years now and it works perfectly as if I got it yesterday. Clean it often and it’s a great $50 spent.

> 3 dayAfter much searching, I finally decided to pull the trigger on and RK61. I had trouble finding anything for the price, wired or not. Those devices that were close in price, were wired, didnt have comparable features, or were simply ugly. Given the price point, I was skeptical, but after several weeks, I can happily report a happy purchase. The only issue I encountered was mentioned in the reviews, there was a very noticeable wobble, as one of the four rubber pads on the underside, was slightly more recessed than the other three. The quick and easy fix was prying up the pad with a knife point, removing the adhesive pad (shown in picture) and adding a couple dabs of hot glue, before pressing the rubber pad back in. I then flipped the keyboard over and pressed gently to make sure it leveled with the other three. Presto, no more wobble, I hope this helps if anyone was on the fence for that reason. Bluetooth range is good, I can easily use the keyboard across the room. Bluetooth compatibility in windows and a recent linux distro has been great, no pairing issues. One quick hotkey swaps between wired and wireless modes. You can easily cycle through the backlight modes, or turn them off entirely. I tend to use a constant glow on lowest brightness, and at least for me its not overpowering in a dark room. The swapping between number keys/ arrow key, and their default functions takes a bit of getting used to, but after you adapt its not a problem. Check images in customer reviews for the hotkey settings that allow you to swap between. I had an odd issue where Num Lock was enabled by default on delivery. It took me a few minutes to figure out what the issue was, and that there is no way to toggle this setting from the RK61 at least from what Ive found. Solution for me was a backup keyboard used to deselect the lock. It hasnt re-occurred, just make sure you have another keyboard handy when youre setting up. Havent used the keyboard for gaming as of yet, but I will update the review once Ive tested the keyboard for rollover. 5-key is what was advertised, I can attest to at least three, by nature of several hotkey functions built into the firmware.
