> 3 dayI liked the retro looks and loved the lights but the keyboard was very difficult to type correctly on without several errors. I kept trying to get used to it but finally gave up and returned it. It might be great for gamers but not for typing.

> 3 dayI fully enjoy this keyboard its functionality is superb. The back lighting is bright even in daylight. I did recieive mine in a wet package, but nonetheless seems to be an excellent keyboard quick and accurate keystrokes without a lag or delay.

> 3 dayI absolutely ADORE this KEYBOARD!!! 1st of all, I am not a gamer. I wanted a backlit keyboard so I could use my computer in low lighting 1st thing in the morning with my coffee and after the dinner dishes have been put away in the evening. I had been typing on an HP SmartCard CCID keyboard, which does have mechanical switches so I wasnt to worried about having to adjust to the sound or feel. Let me tell you, this Royal Kludge keyboard beats typing on my old kb by LIGHT years!! The keys have just the right amount of sensitivity, much easier to press to actuation than the old kb. I love the clickyness of this kb too. It has more of an almost dual click to it, much better sounding than the old kb. The round keys did not take getting used to as some of the other reviews on here claimed. For me, they are EASIER to type on, and spaced just enough so that they dont interfere with each other. I feel I can type faster on this, I guess because they are easier to press, really dont know. The lighting is really beautiful. I love all the different effects and brightness levels available. There were several reasons I chose this particular kb when I made the decision to treat myself to a backlit board. 1st, it had to be mechanical. 2nd, it had to have individually lit, dimmable multi-color keys. 3rd, it had to have a wrist rest. I know, you can buy your own stand alone wrist rest, but I felt like for the money these backlit boards with all the features I mentioned cost, it ought to have a WR. 4th, it had to be beautiful and fun. And finally, it had to come in at less than $75. This ticked all the boxes, but I was not prepared for what a joy it is to use this keyboard! I LOVE the steampunk vibe and retro look combined with the gorgeous lighting. I LOVE the ease of typing. I LOVE the sound!! The cord has a little velcro piece attached to gather any slack in, which was an added little bonus to me so I dont have to worry about my dog getting into the slack. The ONLY thing that could be improved on IMO is the wrist rest could have been padded. Im all about comfort and ergonomics so I will most likely purchase a gel rest to use instead of the included plastic one. I will probably just remove the existing one altogether rather than keep it folded beneath. I will say that the kb is quite awkward to use with the wrist rest tucked beneath it, both sitting flat or with the legs extended for incline. Speaking of the legs, there are two different settings of incline which I found to be quite nice. I currently have mine on the steepest incline setting and it gives me great visualization of all the keys even though I dont need to see them, just for certain characters I dont use often. All in all, I am so pleased with my purchase. If youre still on the fence, just GET IT! You can always return it if its not for you. :) Edit: I did purchase a pretty turquoise mf/gel wrist rest, came with a separate little one for the mouse. But instead of removing the attached plastic wr, I just place it in front of it. I dont tuck the attached wr under, but keep it extended and my padded rest butts up to it. I have long fingers so this setup works really will for me. Will add a pic.

> 3 dayThis keyboard is gorgeous, in more ways than one. It is a sturdy keyboard with beautiful, bright, highly customizable backlight and sidelight settings, and a great aesthetic appeal. Great concept on paper. Something you’ll fall in love with and buy without question. But just like a relationship, while you wish it could work out, there are some dealbreakers. My biggest grievance is that the silver rings around each key, while cute as heck, will get these hairline fractures after normal use and will sometimes fall off - even during use, which can be extremely annoying. Me, trying to salvage this relationship, kept trying to reapply the rings, but they always just fall right back off and I am not willing to glue them down. So now, I just have a janky-looking keyboard with half the rings missing and it looks so cheap. I will also say that even after a couple years of use, I still can’t type as quickly as I can on a normal keyboard. Since they aren’t concave or ergonomic in any way, the keys can hinder your typing speed and intuition. If RK would update this keyboard to solve the silver ring issue, I wouldn’t hesitate dropping another $60 for a replacement. But until then, I’ll limp along with this keyboard until I find something better… It’s not me, it’s you. </3

> 3 dayGreat clicky sound as I type. Only thing I really have to get used to is the keys are a little wonky and sometimes you type other letters. Its just a matter of finger placement but its still a great product.

> 3 dayPeripheral Neuropathy has left me with compromised feeling and fine motor skills in my fingers and hands. I had to put silicone tabs on a few buttons to help me type by my own version of braille. It occurred to me a mechanical keyboard could help me feel the keys. Round keys maybe better still. I was right. The keys feel a little small at first but I think Ill get used to it. The round buttons really help too. I sure am glad for the other reviewers tips on utilizing all the cool ways to play with the colors. Many thanks for that. Was I the only one to not get any paperwork at all? Or a bar code manual? Minus one star. But so far its awesome.
