Robert Kaufman SS-101-40 Kona Solids Skinny Strips, 40 Piece, Black

I liked the convenience of having the strips pre-cut but because they used pinking shears or something similar I had lots of little black pieces of fabric all over my project. Probably wouldnt have been quite so bad if I were working on something using regular quilt fabric but I was working on a T-Shirt Quilt. I ended up using at least 2 whole lint rollers to remove all the little black spots from the 2 T-Shirt Quilts.

I love these skinny strips. The only issue I have is that the rolls shed sooo bad. The black gets all over everything.

I saw a new pattern I wanted to make and it was a small sized quilt. Then discovered you can even purchase black in the skinny size which will be perfect for this mini quilt.

Like the Kona material. Cuts are clean and even. Was nice not having to do it by hand. Well worth the cost.

Some time you smaller jelly rolls than 2 1/2 and now you can have them. I have trouble with my hands so this jelly roll was great, helped me a lot .

I cant believe I used to hand cut these strips! I keep these on hand for my sashing and edging and the Robert Kaufman brand is very high quality and Ive paid more elsewhere. Ive seen comments about lint and the edges. Most pre-cuts have pinked edges and I line mine up from the bottom of the pinked edge. As far a lint; thats just a remnant of the machine cutting. I just brush it away and it does not affect my machine at all. I definitely will keep the black and white strips on hand. Its such a timesaver.
