> 3 dayI bought the Prime R2-250X1 after comparing it to the Prime R500X1D. Yes, the RMS ratings of 250w compared to 500w at 2ohm is a big difference, however my setup is a single Infinity 10 2ohm in a sealed box so either amp would have worked great. I ended up going with the R2 as I wanted the C.L.E.A.N. gain functionality (was extremely easy to setup) and beefier heatsink/case of the R2 series plus the original R500X1D is hard to find now.

R2-250X1
The Prime R2-250X1 is a full-range class-D mono amplifier, capable of operating at 4Ω or 2Ω mono and rocking 250 Watts of RMS power. This amplifier is extremely efficient because of its class D technology, which reduces demand on the vehicles electrical system. The amp also features C.L.E.A.N. circuitry to help you adjust your gain settings and the unique P.O.W.E.R. supply continues to generate more than the rated power as the voltage increases.
