PROS: 1) I ordered my 7yo two other rolling backpacks before settling on this one as her favorite because it’s more sturdy and not as prone to tipping over like the others with can cause injuries when the handle is extended (it’s like a weapon!). It’s heavy duty and large for even much older kids. Many look like they’ve got a “stand” but still tip over. This one stays upright! Yay!! 2) This one also has more hard shell underneath than the others which I feel is essential any place you’ve got a climate with lots of snow (or rain). 3) All three had telescoping handles. This one locks up with a button which my kid likes because she sometimes rests her arm while waiting in line to be dismissed. 4) it has a built in wheel cover in a zippered pouch to keep from getting clothes dirty 5) the shoulder straps tuck underneath the padding and the straps Velcro to keep from getting damaged and rolled over by the wheels 6) there’s a shield over the wheels to keep from getting caught on things 7) reflective strip on front for safety 8) ten color options. The hearts we picked will grow with her unlike unicorns 9) roller backpacks prevent injury! I got scoliosis (crooked spine) in middle school from carrying a heavy backpack on one shoulder. We are 1/2 mile from school so this is also less exhausting to carry. 10) two side mesh pockets are useful to carry an umbrella in one and water bottle in the other. 11) there’s a special strap on an interior iPad pocket padded on one side CONS: A couple things left to be desired: 1) I wish these style backpacks were easier to wash and came apart from the handle. At least the wheel covers could snap off or something… 2) these single rod ones aren’t as practical as the double rod ones for two reasons— it’s harder to put those lunch boxes designed for luggage slip over one rod as it spins around on one rod whereas with two it stays in place. Also it’s easier to drop the rod without two rods if you get bumped or turn a corner. My daughter keeps dropping this! So we are still in search for the perfect rolling backpack but this will have to do for now. 3) it’s one of the more expensive backpacks. I could maybe justify this more if it were easily washed (and I hadn’t tried out multiple other backpacks. 4) a kid tripped over my daughters backpack in the first week of school. It’s not great in a crowd so try to stay to the side or carry on the shoulders until in a more open area. 5) most roller backpacks make some noise drawing some attention if not a lot of kids wheel one. This is not bad 6) wish the iPad pocket were padded on both sides, not just one! 7) the hard shell doesn’t completely cover the undercarriage. I mean, why not?! 8) even with all the colors I do wish it came in a couple more girly options 9) I wish it came with a matching lunchbox that fits over the rod I only took off a star for these cons because I compared this to others out there and this one is pretty good so I felt the pros outweigh the cons and some of my cons are just ideas for improvement that might not even exist in competitor backpacks.

I use this as my personal item on airplanes. Pros: Smooth rolling, sturdy fabric, well appointed design, solid plastic base adds structure. Cons: The main body of the bag is more narrow than expected and my laptop case just barely fits. The laptop sits to the front of the zipper compartment and that makes the bag front loaded, it often falls forward/over at awkward moments. However, given TSA guidelines are specific, this bag rocks for zipping through airports. It also sits on top of my hardcase luggage easily with an elastic band.

This is a super nice rolling school backpack designed with flamingo fabric. The backpack is made of a nylon fabric and is easy to wipe down for cleaning. The backpack has two rolling wheels and a handle that is adjustable for a childs height. The side pocket is large enough to store a large water bottle in it. It has a large front pocket which is perfect to carry pencils and a phone. The measurements of the backpack are 8.3 by 12.8 (wide) and 18.9 inches tall.

This is a really nice bag. The fabric is pretty with pink flamingoes and teal background with palm fronds. The fabric is tightly woven so great for durability. There are a lot of good features to this bag. The largest zippered compartment has a large inside pocket and a zipper on an inside compartment. Shiny double zipper pulls are decorative. The next compartment could hold a laptop or other flat items and has a double zipper also. The smallest compartment has an inside pocket with pockets for credit cards/ pens/pencils or makeup. The straps unbuckle and can be tucked in the two padded sections on the back. The handle easily extends and releases. The bag is ‘clad’ with rubberized bumper and has inline wheels. The bag stands up by itself. It also has an elasticized cover for travel. This is super cute and durable. I’m using it as my carryon.

I got this roller back pack after getting one for my niece. I found out it tilts forward so it doesnt fall over! So its pretty stable! I needed a roller backpack for my heavy camera gear for vacation, but didnt want to get a camera bag that advertised to rob me. I saw this backpack held up well. So I bought it and put three 2-litre bottles to see if it can handle 10-15 lbs of weight. It did pretty well, so I put my large heavy camera in a padded insert an gobbled it up with plenty of extra space. This rolling backpack is pretty big for its size and is well padded and armored with skid plates on the bottom. There is a hidden cover the wheels, so dirty wheels wont be on your back if you convert it to a backpack. Overall very sturdy. I havent tested the fabric for water proofing , but I plan to just spray scotch gard if it do plan to take it on rain adventures. -Sterling W

I got this for my 9 year old when she started 3rd grade to replace her previous shoulder backpack. This backpack is definitely more versatile and better build quality. The best feature is that it comes with wheels so she doesnt need to carry it on her shoulders all the time, especially when she carries a lot of stuff. Due to its larger capacity, its a little big for her compare to the old backpack but i think once she reaches 4th grade, it will be a perfect size for her. The handle feels sturdy, wheels are solid and the build quality definitely worth the price. The price is a bit high but consider having this backpack for at least 2-3 more years. it definitely worth the price.

Big enough for school, but not too big. The roller works great, but it doesnt make it unwearable. Great for my 5th grader!

I bought the backpack and the lunch bag for my daughter for the start of the school year, and she loves the Planty life theme. Its still in excellent condition and she uses every day.

Great for traveling, great for weekend overnights or great for school. This bag has plenty of space & is very good quality. So useful to be able to roll , versus carrying .
