If youre a frequent router user you know that your bit collection is one of the most important decisions you can make when planning your projects. This is a huge set of bits and a fantastic price for such a large assortment. The brilliant yellow finish helps make them stand out. The aluminum case with viewing window is a superb way to help keep the collection together. The assortment is broad enough to give you a bit for just about every normal project youll find you need in most standard use cases. Unfortunately, I have only had to use a few of the bits so far for my projects (mostly straight bits to counter-bore surfaces to flush-mount plates in solid surfaces). The bits have been sharp enough to cut without stopping. Rider bearings have rolled smoothly and do not appear to lock-up while moving. They seem true as there is no obvious warble or obstructive variation to surfaces once the job is complete. The bits fit very well in their case and do not move around when the case is moved around or jarred. There are wonderful labels where each bit sits with a helpful diagram showing what each bit is meant for. It is also very well manufactured with metal hardware (instead of plastic), which will help it live longer and be more durable in work environments. If youre looking at replacement bits or a certain bit, I would recommend grabbing this kit up and giving it a try before you spend more money on other options that may not give you as much.

Overall, this is a nice collection of cutters. I cant comment on longevity as I have only tested some of them a few times. That being said, I like what I saw. Theres a wide variety of sizes, though somewhat limited in profiles. Thats ok because I think youll find these are many of the most useful ones you need. The cuts were nice and clean and the bits felt sharp to the touch. They come in a foam insert that holds them securely so they arent bouncing around. You can store them in the case long term which is a nice bonus. My only complaint is that they dont come with recommended speed ranges. I know you can use rules of thumb and calculate reasonable ranges, but its always preferable to have that data from the manufacturer as you dont know the composition of the various parts of the bit.

First impression when opening the box was wow, the case is impressive. Unfortunately the foam does separate from the case when pulling on the bits. I will reinforce with a strong adhesive to eliminate that situation in the future. As far as the bits, cutting soft woods were effortless but needed a little sanding when done. Upon using a round-over bit on an oak plank, it struggled to perform as well as the pine board run. I suspect that they could use a bit more sharpening to tackle hard wood. Overall for the price that they are selling this kit for, it is a must buy. The variety of the bits is impressive and is a great value.

This kit includes about every edge treatment you could ask for. The bits are sharp and was very easy to use with my battery operated DeWalt router.

For the occasional router user, this set is a big win. Lots of pieces, a storage case. And if that is you, buy it! You will have a winner on your hands. I deducted 1 star for the case. I felt it was a miss. It feels cheap and destined to break. Unpacking it, the foam liner was stuck to the bubble wrap it came packed with. As carefully as I tried, I still had some foam rip. You need to tuck the bits in to get the case closed. Im sure a better case would have made the set cost more, so it is a trade off. Again, big win with all the pieces for the price.

If you own a Router, then you know how expensive quality bits are. When I first saw this listing, my immediate thought is No way these can be decent at this low price. I was totally incorrect. First thing is that they come in an aluminum case that has a viewing window in order to see each and every bit from outside the case. The bit holders are correctly marked with which bit goes where. I like cases like this because you can take just a quick glance to ensure that you have properly stored each bit that you used as soon as you are finished. Not being in the habit of doing this is how bits get lost and sets like this become incomplete. The first bit that I used was the 1.25 Round Over bit. I used it in my Ryobi Fixed Base Router (non-plunge model). I also own the Ryobi Plunge Router as well as the Ryobi One + 18v Finishing Router - this one has a 1/4 collet. I have a set of these just like this one just for that router. I used it on Butcher Block Counters that we placed in our RV, replacing what was included from the factory. Considering the Butcher Block was Birch, which is a hardwood, I knew this would show just how well built these are. I rounded the edges that we would come in contact with as well as a few others for appearance sake. After making about 18 to 20 runs, I let the bit cool and examined it closely with a magnifying glass. There were zero nicks, very little sign of wear and the edge looks like it will cut another 100 strokes before it dulls out. These are good bits. I am currently using the small dovetail bit to repair a drawer from an solid oak desk that we own. Years of use caused the rear of the drawer to break apart. I am shortening the drawer by 1 to remove damage and resetting the dovetail joints. The new bit matches the existing dovetail, so this will be a fairly easy job. This is a GREAT selection of bits for the price, making this an excellent value.
