> 3 dayI ordered this to light my rooms during electrical failures. Its a lot of light, so it will certainly do that. And its part of the Ryopbi Plus family, so you need the rechargeable battery and base. From a design standpoint I imagined that both wings of the device would lift (in that position you could hook it to the ceiling, and uplight the whole thing) but they dont; just one leaf is hinged. And when its in the most open position it makes a linear-light twice as long as just using one side. It is extremely good as a directional light (as opposed to a lantern type light) It is great for a desk task-lamp in an outage. Just open it to 270 degrees. I also use it under desks to get some light on cords when Im seeking out a connection problem. I think the designer could have simmered down with all the facets and flanges. The hooks seem to be in non-intuitive (unbalanced) places. There is no flashing mode for this item, so maybe not for use with vehicle breakdowns. Be careful with the lamp in the most extended position if you are using it on a table or the floor. It tips over very easily.

> 3 dayOver the last few years, Ive been transitioning many of my lights to Ryobi 18v to avoid the high cost disposable batteries in many different sizes. I have the Ryobi spot light and the work lights in both folding and fixed sizes. Cannot say enough good things about all of them. Very bright, very versatile, very convenient for different uses, and they all run off the same battery. Fantastic for power outages and if you go through all the batteries you can recharge on your generator. However, they last a long time. I can highly recommend all the Ryobi lighting Ive tried.

> 3 dayGreat working light. Compatible with the rest of my Ryobi products which shares the same battery. Very well build. Super bright. Good for work around the house or additional lighting for taking photos. Also used it for night time bbq when it got dark quickly during winter time.

> 3 dayI use this for work and need it for about 2 hours of outdoor work, this light is SUPER bright. I use the 3mAh batters and if needed to go way past 3 hours I can use the 4mAh and it holds up well. The price is an acceptable deal since you do get a lot of compatibility for the arsenal of Ryobi tools they carry for one type of battery. in short, get this light it works really well.

> 3 dayI have had this item for over a month and have used it on numerouse occations from hanging TVs on the wall, to building custom shelving in my garage. I have alot of Ryobi products from the small blower to nail guns and wanted a light that can use the same batteries and it does not disapoint. my only issue was on initial attempt at opening the adjustable arm, I thought I might break it, I spent a few minutes looking for some kind of latch or hidden release. There is none and with the proper amount of force it opened and has worked great since.

> 3 dayGreat light. Works well in ceilings. So much light in ceiling no problem working. Just using one frame of the light is more than enough light in ceilings.

> 3 dayIm sure a lot of you can relate, but one of my primary jobs as a kid was holding a flashlight for my dad while he worked on things. This was the 80s. Warm, but dim incandescent bulbs were socketed in every light, batteries were a constant issue, and the lights were cheap plastic with internal components that were slotted into them. Drop it and you likely needed another one. I got this at HD and now I wonder if my dad would have needed me to ever hold a light for him of they had these when I was a kid. The battery will not last all day, but for a job that needs a lot of light, in a small area, or a lot of light directed at a specific area, this is the best work light I have ever used. It has so many ways to position it. Hooks, keyhole slots, adjustable hinges. And with a 4ah batter the base is stable enough to move the tip light in any direction. This has replaced every flashlight or work light I have. If you work on cars and you know how hard it can be to get light into places without also casting dark shadows over your work area, get this. 4ah battery lasts a few hours. But im using this for small project work. Its the best.
