> 3 dayDidn’t take long to install, got it up and running in no time. If anyone needs a reliable ssd go with this one. Spring for the 2tb version as well, saves time on needing to upgrade.

> 3 dayI have a PCIx 3x NVME Samsung drive as my boot drive and recently purchased this to replace an aging 6TB hdd. What I can say is that for storage purposes this is plenty fast and unless youre running 10 Gbps ethernet will provide you all the bandwidth you need for streaming, games, files, or network sharing. The built in cache is tricky in that it reads extremely fast at a small file size (faster than the maximum of SATA 3) with speedboost on so to get an accurate idea you have to run larger and deeper Queue Depths. You can see in the images as the size of the file goes up the speeds drop. Now keep in mind the write speed is still way too fast for an SSD so Samsung Speedboost is likely using a combination of writing to RAM and writing that to Cache. Perhaps useful if you have a large excess of RAM but something to note. Temps on the all aluminium enclosure never exceeded 6 degrees above ambient temp with a slow 1500 rpm fan sort of in the vicinity of the drive so no need to worry about temps with this drive. Overall Im pleased with the drive, and happy to finally remove all hard drives from my desktop even with 5+ TB of files to store. Its quiet, fast, temps well, and is significantly more power efficient since its speed means its active time is tiny compared to an HDD.
