I have a Samsung 850 Pro 500GB for my OS and needed more space for my games since I still had to store some on my 2TB HDD. With this SSD Ive moved all my games onto this drive and freed up more space on my OS SDD. This thing works like a charm, incredible load speeds on all my games, and stays relatively cool without a dedicated heatsink. Excellent for those who want faster load times and additional space for their games. This would likely even perform great as a primary OS drive based on the Random IO speeds it benchmarks to. Highly recommend it.

Samsung is the leader in these products without a doubt. There are other more cost effective and equally good in performance such as the XPG8200, but this is the Cadillac of drives if you have the budget. I actually use this as my game storage drive and have a separate 2-1/2 SSD boot drive. This drive made a huge difference in boot time even as the secondary drive. I know, it seems backwards because of the speed differences, but this works and works well. I did not want my games on my boot drive which is not as large of capacity and not required for what I do. I highly recommend this drive, but wait to get it on sale, it then makes the price more bearable.

This company is the laziest and most anti-consumer company in electronics out there. Why the hell do they not include basic material to install the SSD to most motherboards? It blows my mind that they see an expensive piece of technology without providing cheap installation materials that probably cost five cents. I had to order an install kit that will take another week to get here. Imagine a furniture company selling buildable furniture without including any of the screws. Like honestly Samsung get it together and quit being so cheap. People are paying so much money for these the least you could do is include a basic screw.
