    I decided to return this after reading reviews of alternatives. There are cheaper and faster drives, which use far less power, thus avoiding overheating. I decided on Sabrent’s Rocket, with a Sintech adapter. My two 2015 rMBP get 1200+ MB/s writing. (Slightly faster reading.) It’s been almost a year now, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice.

    I used this to install in an older HP Omen laptop as it came with an unused empty m.2 slot. Installation was a breeze, and setup was easy as a simple google search will explain step by step. My laptop has been sluggish with an HDD as my only drive. Boot up took forever, and now my laptop purrs and boots up lighting fast. I literally mean that it’s fast and starts-ups fast. This laptop is now better than new.

    This is an all around great SSD! Easy to install, great price point, pre-applied thermal compound, crazy read/write speeds... This 970 paired with Samsungs 860 2.5 SSD is all the storage Ill ever really need. Two thumbs up!
