18-11-2024It works perfectly and I would bypass the 1 TB and buy the 2 TB I know cause a little bit more but it’s worth every penny you don’t even have to worry about having extra space.

> 3 dayGoing from a spinning platter hard drive to even a SATA SSD back in 2017 was a big step up. It was time to replace that old SSD with something new (SSDs are great but when they do fail I understand that they fail spectacularly and all of a sudden). For peace of mind I wanted a new drive and thought I would go with an NVMe m.2-connected SSD for the claimed speed bonus.

Greater than one weekReally pleasantly surprised with this m2 drive. This is the first NVMe drive I’ve purchased and installation should normally be quick and painless! The standoff m.2 heatsink that came with my X570 Aorus elite (wifi) MB decided to completely shear off under light pressure. Including the threaded piece that the standoff actually screws into.. Go figure.

Greater than one weekUnlike the WD that I had to return, this worked as soon as installed.

> 3 dayTook 5 minutes to install. I researched a ton of internal ssd options for my PS5 and I decided on this Samsung 980 pro with heatsink. I am not disappointed!

> 3 dayBought this for a new gaming PC. It was super easy to install. The throughput is great as the machine boots up super fast. Although the machine has only been running for about 2 to 3 weeks. Regardless, Im sure that it will continue to perform flawlessly until it reaches its limits of total reads & writes. Which is something thats unique to each individual based on how they use their PC.

> 3 dayThis is now my fourth M.2 Samsung SSD in 970 EVO and 980 Pro models, all 2 TB, 2 in a laptop and 2 in a gaming tower. Love them. They read and write fast, dont seem to overheat or cause my case temps to raise more than usual, and Ive never had a failure of any kind.
