> 3 dayPurchased this product for the PS5. Heard about firmware issue. Saw recent youtube by Jayztwocents who showed that if drive is manufactured in Vietnam in Dec 22, then it already has the latest firmware which corrects the issue of corruption-this issue appears to apply to drives manufactured in 21 in Korea. The drive I received from Amazon was manufactured in Vietnam in Dec 2022. I did not bother to check firmware. Very easy to install with second party heatsink. PS5 reported read speed of 6667mps. I have no regrets purchasing this drive.

Greater than one weekI needed a new disk to use as a removable hard disk together with an enclosure and the truth is that I had never had such a fast and powerful NvME in my hands.

16-04-2025I wanted to get the newest Samsung evo 990 pro, but my board does T support pci 5. So I got the 980 pro instead. I have a few 980 pros in my gigabyte z590 aorus ultra and can’t complain. Boot up speeds are awesome, gaming performance is also amazing. Can’t complain and I got this 2tb drive on sale I paid 289 with taxes for my 1tb almost a year and a half ago. This one was 195 with taxes. Very happy!

> 3 dayI was surprised to read some of the reviews on this ... Samsung is normally solid as a rock. Ive used it routinely for my PCs, I didnt even think twice about it. When I went to write this review - thats when I saw others with negative reviews about it.

> 3 dayI may have made a mistake in ordering with a heat sink - but I am a bit of a fan of Samsung SSDs. This drive was easy to install, cloned perfectly with the Samsung Magician and took the place of my 1TB SSD (now the D: drive) Still a fan of Samsung tech.

> 3 dayI bought this M.2 SSD to replace a regular SSD in a computer I built 5 years ago. Apparently I saved every screw except the M.2 one, if one was even included with the case/motherboard in the first place. I assumed this SSD would come with a screw but I was wrong. To install the M.2 SSD, I had to wait and order a $5 bag of screws just to get one tiny M.2 screw which probably costs less than a cent. Nowhere on the product listing did it advise that it doesnt come with a screw. Samsung should include a screw in the box to prevent people from shooting themselves in the foot. If it came with the screw, I would have given it 5 stars. The M.2 SSD seems to be working properly so far but the installation experience wasnt great.

Greater than one weekSuper shock on the amount of storage it offer. Alot of SSD state their a certain capacity and they do have that storage but normally the SSD has certain things within it that drop the capacity but a very little bit but this offers a complete 1TB.
