Greater than one weekI use my USB keys primarily for coping large files, so what matters to me is the actual verified Single thread performance such as if you are coping a very large .ISO or .MP4 file over. I use the H2testw utility as that writes & verifies a single thread as fast as it can go and doesnt allow for compression or other cheating. I did the full 32GB Capacity of the key This is very important as many reviewers only do benchmarks for a fraction of that and speeds vary (usually downwards) on a short burst at the beginning compared to sustained file copy. This one came in at 24.2 MBytes / Second write speed and 184 MBytes / Second Read speed.

> 3 dayThere are a lot of variables that affect the read/write speed of this flash drive in any particular PC. Drivers, internal USB firmware, etc., etc. Nevertheless, after several months, Ive found that the drive is consistently much faster than any 2.0 flash drive and, in the latest model PC/laptops with SSD drives, the transfer speed can be very impressive. According to the file transfer utilities, I consistently see read speeds of 200MB/s and, depending on file size, write speeds up to 30MB/s. However, we are becoming spoiled with high speed networks and SSDs in our systems so, even with its faster speed, you might not think the performance is all that impressive. Just keep in mind that, for the money, youre not going to find a drive that is larger, faster, tougher or better designed for plugging and unplugging.

> 3 dayBefore purchasing this, I read some of the comments left by other buyers on this product, I was pretty skeptical about purchasing it but then I just went for it. And I dont know if I got luck or anything but I had no issues whatsoever with this flash drive, I am getting the advertised speed when testing it, it was brand new, it was not damaged in transportation, I mean it just works great. I definitely recommend it.

> 3 dayIve never had one of these drives fail, and I have a daily carry drive that Ive written over 50tb total that still works as well as the day I bought it. Metal case gives a nice feel and the sloped angle at the back makes it easy to extract, plus a hole to attach to a lanyard or key ring. My only complaint is the finish can get a bit scratched up if you keep it with keys like I do, but doesnt affect anything functional which is all I care about. They arent even that expensive, so why take a risk on cheaper ones?

> 3 dayWell, I looked and looked for my other usb stick and couldnt find it. Knew the office gremlin had taken it away and it somehow vanished. I received this unit that is blah, blah, blah great and such and when I was putting it on my USB hub I found the old one. Ahhhh.

Greater than one weekIve now purchased 5 of these Samsung flash drives, and have never had an issue with them. I have a flash drive input in my car, and Ive had issues with other brands, to where I cant access my music- even though I can see the files- but have never had that issue with these. Ive used them for music. video and for document storage with work ... always works great transferring from Mac to Mac and Mac to PC.

Greater than one weekI bought 2 of these at the same time, so they should be identical. This is my review of the other one: Right after I got this, I left it in a jeans pocket when I threw it in the wash. I wash jeans in steaming hot water with a 20 minute soak and then dry on high for at least an hour. Pretty extreme abuse for any electronic item. Found the drive at the bottom of the dryer, so I figured Id put it in my laptop and format it to see if it still worked. I figured formatting it would expose any problems with it. Formatted fine with no drama. I have been using it for a month since then with zero problems!! People are complaining about write speeds. Not a big concern for me since Im just loading photos or Word and Excel files, so I havent even noticed that, BUT, I can guarantee you this drive will take the abuse! Since its much more important to me that files are still on the drive even if I drop it or dunk it or whatever, Im extremely satisfied with it. Its also designed to be much easier to insert and remove than flat drives. Ive always had good luck with Samsungs TVs and appliances, but their phones are junk. I figured Id buy a brand name drive from a company I was familiar with. Obviously, that was a wise decision. Im not prone to hyperbole, nor do I usually take the time to write reviews, but this drive has blown me away. Its definitely the bees knees and I rate this drive a definite BUY.

> 3 dayThe flash drive is OK! Read rate about 300 MB/s as per the packaging ad, but write speed about 40 MB/s (in USB 3.1 Gen 2 port as well). I got both colorful options, black and this silver. The black one is good, but the silver one I believe has too thick layer of coating, so it fits into the USB port soooo tightly. I was afraid the port would break. Then I just used and OTG cable to insert it multiple times. Got better, but I can see the thickness of the coating, it is really too much.

> 3 dayI carry this USB drive on my key chain everywhere with me as a way to transfer files if I need to. Every time I have used it so far I have had no issues. I have reformatted and partitioned it multiple time with no issues so far. And it is extremely durable considering it is encased in metal and its sleek. It even survived being put through a washer and dryer with no problems functioning after.
